Extremely Disappointed – Not Recommended at All!
We visited Hotel Rahul Refreshment today for breakfast and had misal pav and puri bhaji. The taste of both items was just average – nothing special at all. We also asked for sheera, but it was unavailable.
What truly ruined our experience was the poorly trained and unprofessional staff. There was no courtesy or even a basic smile while taking our order. Even worse, when we asked for an extra pav, the staff member served it by holding it directly in his hand instead of placing it on a plate – completely unhygienic and unacceptable for any food service establishment!
To top it off, when we inquired about the price of laddus at the cash counter while leaving, the person there responded with an extremely rude and disrespectful attitude. If someone is sitting at the billing counter, they should at least know the basic ethics of customer service. It’s not just about collecting money – it’s about representing the hospitality of the place.
Let me make one thing clear: a fancy interior will never compensate for poor food quality, lack of hygiene, or disrespectful behavior. Running a hotel or restaurant requires good food, cleanliness, and respectful service – everything else comes later.
Such a terrible experience – I will never recommend this place to anyone. Please train your staff and understand that customers come for a good experience, not just to sit in decorated...
Read moreIf you’re looking for authentic and delicious Maharashtrian cuisine, this is the perfect spot! The flavors are truly exceptional—don’t miss the misal, and the kothimbir vadi is absolutely outstanding. For those observing fasts, they offer fantastic options like sabudana khichadi and farali misal. Their lasun chutney and aliv ladoo are must-tries, and the traditional sweet “kharvas” is the perfect way to end your meal. They also serve classic dishes like pithla bhakri and other lunch items, all of which are incredibly flavorful.
Beyond Maharashtrian fare, the restaurant also offers South Indian delights like idli and dosa, paired with delicious sambar and chutneys that are sure to impress.
The restaurant was recently renovated, giving it a more spacious and welcoming atmosphere. They’ve also expanded the menu with items like chaat items, sandwiches, dhokla and the flavors are as impressive as ever....
Read moreI recently visited Hotel Rahul in Old Panvel and had a very disappointing experience. The man at the cash counter was extremely arrogant and over-smart, showing no basic courtesy or professionalism. His attitude was not at all welcoming and made the entire experience uncomfortable right from the beginning.
Even the waiter was highly irresponsible – he barely paid attention to what we were saying, didn’t note down the correct order, and acted as if customers don’t matter. We had to repeat ourselves multiple times, and still, the service was slow and careless.
It’s really upsetting to see such poor customer service, especially when people come to dine and relax. Basic respect, attention, and responsiveness should be minimum standards – which this place clearly lacks.
Would not recommend this place unless they seriously improve their staff’s behavior and...
