Read moreWith a good expectation and to have dinner i visited tawa with my colleagues. For starters, we took chicken spring roll, chef's special chicken kebab, tandoori pomfret. For main course we ordered rumali roti with angari chicken and some chicken hakka noodles. And for deserts we all had ice cream. And also we ordered some fresh lime soda. In the starter, expect the tandoori pomfret rest all was good. The pomfret was not at all fresh and they burnt the pomfret a little too much. The pomfret tasted below average. Coming to the main course, the angari chicken was a whole disappointment. They added curry leaves to the gravy and the curry leaves smell overpowered everything. We did not enjoy the chicken at all. And the chicken hakka noodles was just okayish. Rest the desert was good. Enjoyed it. The overall ambience of the restaurant was good, the service was good and the waiter was also very polite and well behaved. What disappointed us was the food. The food is not so reasonable and the portion of the food was very less compared to the cost. The noodles was very less. In a multi cuisine restaurant, the noodles quantity that is served can be shared between 2 people but in Tawa, only one person can have one...
Read moreWe used to order quite a lot from this place nearly 3-4 months back because their food tasted good and felt premium. It was after a long time that we decided to dine in. We ordered Chicken Hot & Sour soup, which tasted more of water and not good.
We had Chicken Lollipop for starters, which tasted of Malvani masala and not chinese at all! Not to mention the a legit thick thread from the fadka wala kapda, that the waiter confirmed & justified to be used only for cleaning platform and not the floors! Pathetic.
As we were making our mind to leave, our chicken fried rice arrived. With much hope, we thought what could go wrong in fried rice!? But duh! no luck again! The rice tasted weird to the point that I can't even put it in words!
To top that off, I wanted to pee and went to the washroom. Oh my God! It is the dirtiest I had ever seen. Trust me on it.
While paying nearly 2,000 bucks, I felt genuinely sad and pointed all the problems to the manager who casually said sorry Mam, I will get it checked.
A completely, utterly spoilt weekend that still makes me puke! The worst...
