Udupi Sri Krishna Pure Veg — Restaurant in Panvel

Not sure if this restaurant has tie up with the original Udupi restaurant but the service here was the worst you can imagine.

So many servers but only 2 cleaners. I'm not looking down on anyone's job but this restaurant is not working like it should but more like a drama house. I went there for some delicious food and only found the servers doing drama literally.

The table was messy due to the previous customer so we asked them to clean it up and gave the food order. The server shouted to the back to clean the table which did not happen. We then asked another who did the same but nothing happened. After asking 4-5 servers also the results were same, only shouting but no actual cleaning.

We could not even keep the hands on the table while waiting for our food. In the meanwhile we were hearing another customer complaint to the manager in regard to their food which made is even more anxious.

We decided to confront the servers and managers about the poor services after waiting for 30-40 min.

Not sure if we will ever come back or even recommend...

Food was pathetic - we ordered idlis, mendu wadas and a sada dosa along with a chai. Idli was cold, mendu wada was crisp and sada dosa came soggy! Sambhar tasted well but chatni was the worst. IT HAD NO SALT! We asked to change the chatni, he gave us the salt dispenser. Even after adding salt the chatni didnt taste well. Chai was ok.

Service - we had to order twice and keep reminding them about our order. The food cane after 15mins. We ordered the food which takes the least amount of time because we wanted to be somewhere. I mean to serve cold idlis, how much time does it take?

Atmosphere - just ok. Don’t expect hygiene.

I was stressed after eating there. The servers were also stressed. I think the owner needs a lot of upgrading.

This is the worst place to eat authentic South Indian food. I have spent 23 years in south India right from Karnataka to Andhrapradesh, kerala to Tamilnadu. But this place just have a South Indian name and which is actually very well known for south Indian food, apart from name nothing is good. Spoiled my family’s meal and mood both because of such a pathetic food.
