It was indeed a nice place to hangout when we were in first year. But since there have been a mushroom effect of food junctions near thapar University and 22 number/leela bhavan, it has moved pretty down in the priority list of students. They either enjoy food inside the college at various new points opened up, or they prefer going to lazeez, zafran, elevate, ignite etc. But, if you want to have a decent dinner/lunch nearby Thapar University, you can opt for the Kababchi. I have been here multiple times and almost tried everything on the menu. They have a diverse one. I never got mutton and fish dishes. Everything is yum and yes I would like to mention not very oily too. So you don't feel too heavy. Try veg biryani.. my personal favorite. Not too hard on your pocket.
