This is a combined review after multiple visits. The first thing that strikes you is the attention to detail. Right from the door to the stairs and the imagery and materials used, this place is a lesson in detail orientation. The menu is a carefully curated to provide you an explosion of flavours and combinations. After taking your order the waiters always ask if you have any allergies, however they do not entertain customisation of any kind. Example adding mashed potatoes with grilled chicken. Loved their menu design especially the iconography in it. Oh! And they serve you a slice of in-house made focaccia bread - the thinnest slice that can be, complimentary on your arrival. It is served along with a flavourful dip, which is a mix between harissa and thousand island. Suggest to have it with a mix of virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar instead - you can ask for it and they will provide it. (Check out pic)
Oreo shake: 9/10 Spice of Mojave: 10/10 a must try drink. A base of kokum that is taken to another level. Kaffir Lime drink: 10/10 Don’t remember the exact name but you can see it in the pic, a combo of few juices that gives it a beautiful 2 colour hue. It’s a tall glass of paradise.
Toasted/Fried avocado soft shell tacos: 9/10 Never thought Avocado could be fried. The fried avocado rests on a generously made bed of salsa in the taco. Loved it.
Chicken in Khamiri taco: 9/10 The non vegetarians loved it.
Persian Platter: 7/10 Loved the variety of middle eastern breads accompanying the 4 types of hummus/dips. The OG hummus was too silky and bereft of its signature taste, hence a downer. The tomato and eggplant based ones were the star here. The fluffy phulka type pita breads were to die for. Honestly, hoped to have falafel and famous middle eastern salads as part of the platter at that price - but nowhere to be found.
Grilled chicken breast: 6/10 While the chicken portion was good, however the absence of accompanying veggies and/or mashed potatoes was an absolute miss.
Thus, overall the ambience kind of makes up for the misses in the menu, which I guess is trying to be non-standard.
P.S.: This is not a sponsored post. It’s just a thoroughly impressive place....
Read moreA Delightful Dining Experience in Patiala!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mojavein Patiala, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of traditional and modern décor that instantly set the tone for a relaxed yet elegant meal.
The menu offers a great variety of options, including authentic Punjabi dishes that are bursting with flavor. I opted for their signature dish, and it was simply divine! The spices were perfectly balanced, and the portion size was generous. The naan and tandoori items were also perfectly cooked, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of the region.
What stood out the most was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. They even provided great recommendations based on our preferences.
The restaurant’s location is also very convenient, making it an ideal spot for both locals and tourists to enjoy a delicious meal. Overall, I highly recommend Mojave for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Patiala. Read moreA sublime experience. There isn't a restaurant like them, not just in Patiala, but the entire region spanning especially Tier 3 cities. No one's honoring & nailing the concept of 'Artisanal' like Mojave is. The food is beautifully executed & elegantly presented. They're very accommodating and willfully agreed to customize dishes into vegetarian & even vegan preparation. A melange of colours, textures, components, flavours that tantalize the senses - organic produce, everything whipped & hand rolled in-house. The Menu especially is ambitiously crafted taking stock of disparate palettes - food offerings, cocktails, decor fab on all fronts. Feels like an absolute labour of love with all the attention to detail. Also, a shout out to the sweet servers, and the Chef who was attentive & knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
