I had a very disappointing experience at Heist Pub, Pondicherry, and I feel it’s important to share this to help others avoid the same situation.

Six months ago, I had booked a table through Swiggy Dineout, where it was clearly mentioned that there is no cover charge. But upon arrival, the bouncers at the pub insisted we pay ₹1000 per person. When I refused (since I had proof of the booking terms), they behaved in a very unprofessional and rude manner.

Unfortunately, I decided to give the place another chance today, and the same issue happened again. Despite the booking on Swiggy still stating no cover charge, the bouncers demanded ₹1000. When we questioned it, we were treated poorly again. As a result, my wife and I chose to leave and went to another place instead.

This kind of misleading information and aggressive behavior from the staff is unacceptable. I urge the management of Heist Pub and Swiggy to take this seriously and ensure transparency in your listings. Don’t make false promises online just to pull in a crowd—it’s extremely disrespectful to customers.
