Atithi Veg — Restaurant in Pune

Myself and my wife visited the Athithi restaurant Kharadi yesterday at evening . Here is our overall experience :

1. We first ordered Veg manchao soup (1 by 2) for us (Along veg crispy) and within few minutes it was delivered (surprisingly). However the soup when we tasted was very diluted and very spicy and not good enough to consume . I somehow finished my part unhappily (Considering we have to pay for it) but my wife had to leave it as the quality was so bad .
2. After few minutes when the soup was delivered, they delivered Veg crispy as well but when we tasted it it was very hard to chew . We were very surprised that how can veg crispy can be like this . I think probably they would have used some previously cooked veg crispy , which I don’t know but what I know it was not at all good . Now as we’re really disappointed so we ordered soya malai chap but that was also not good and was more salty . Even street vendor chaps which I had in past were lot better than this one .
3. So finally I asked them how can I give my feedback to them . Two waitress who were there were not aware of so I asked them to check internally . After some time discussing within their staff , they brought one feedback book where I submit my feedback . I am not sure if they are going to take any action to improve their food quality and service , but atleast I did my part so that they know how they ruined someone’s dinner by providing a not so good quality food .
4. Finally when we were about to leave then few guys were sitting next to our table (They came after we had come) also ordered veg crispy and they seems also were similar quality of veg crispy. They refused to have after tasting it and they asked to change it .
5. Staff feedback: We have to wait and look for someone to call them for few times when we had to order them or needed drinking water. They were busy in their own chit chat talk instead of focusing on customers . The lady who filled water glass spilled some water and didn’t bother to clean it or say sorry. So I myself had to use tissue papers to stop spilled water which came flowing towards my side .
6. Overall we spent 719/- for these 3 items among which nothing can be called good or even average . I am so disappointed that I have decided not to go to this restaurant anymore .

A request to the restaurant management : Kindly train your serving staff and cook and before delivering the food to the customer , please have someone taste it to ensure that it is of right quality compared with the price which you charge for...

Very disappointing experience!! I am rating 1/5 star for its worst service and terrible food quality. I will urge people to read the bad experiences that other people had before visiting. We went for a dinner on last Saturday here at Atithi. This is not our first visit as such, but we thought that we have very good options in veg and the menu is kids friendly. Firstly, they need to train the parking persons to not “mislead” the other customers. I waited for some 10 mins for the person to valet park my car. He told there is a waiting for 1 hr, he wanted me to confirm if I am still interested in dinner. My wife had already in to book a table and to my surprise she had already got the table. Why this parking person mislead the customers who are hungry and not in mood to drive to other places through so much of traffic. When it comes to service, it’s horrible. There are people but god knows to whine they serve. I was just running to several ladies and gents to just ask them that either switch off the AC or increase the temperature. Finally, one person came to rescue because others do not have “Authority“ to change ax temperature (seriously?). We asked for Masala Dosa for my son. It was delivered within some 5-10 mins. After eating some 6-7 lumps, when we ate that, there was very sour taste of dosa sabji. It had bad odour. Unfortunately my son did not realise the taste and had ate some lumps. Hesitant for accepting the bad quality, lady waiter said I will get it changed. So they probably least bothered about quality, they just get that changed for you. Probably this sabji was prepared somewhere in the morning or an earlier day (god knows!) I asked the other ladies waiter that I want vanilla milkshake. She said Ok. And then after 10 mins I realised that they probably need to remind. She said ohh sorry wait. They she told that I do not take orders it’s other lady :-D Why the hell she said Ok for? I have had bad service experience as well but I neglected that. But food quality?????? As expected my son caught a stomach infection next day, but thankfully not to large extent. If you can’t handle the business don’t do that. You are into such a business which do not suit you. You do not care about customers.

The restaurant is close to the mundva bridge on the Pune Nagar road - Hadapsar bypass road. The restaurant is a pure veg restaurant. There is ample parking space for two-wheelers and four-wheelers in front of the restaurant. There is a valet parking facility also in which guests at a hotel, restaurant, etc., can have their cars parked by an employee. The restaurant has a wide entrance. we were escorted by an employee to a table. The restaurant has a high roof and a lot of natural light too. The restaurant is well decorated too. There are two separate sitting areas in the restaurant one with Air conditioning and the second one is no Air conditioning. We took the second option as it was a pleasant day. The service in the restaurant is pretty slow and is in a confusing state. After we were seated, we were not attended to by the restaurant staff for 15 to 20 minutes even after repeated requests by us. After the order was taken the food preparation took almost 40 min to arrive at the table. We had just ordered only one vegetable preparation one starter and one dal. After we gave our order we were approached twice to take an order this shows that the staff is not in sync. Also, there was also a lot of shouting sone by the staff to call each other to deliver food to the table.
