One of the worst experiences in recent times. We as a group of 3 families went for lunch. Though my first preference for good food is never a pub (especially for family lunch), our decision was purely based on feedback we read on DineOut and our previous experience at a different Spice Factory franchise.
Unless the restaurant offers fine dining, avoid pubs during say time. It's awful as you can see dust and food stuck to tables, roaches swarming under chair/table. Night time ambience hides everything. We were seated in the roof top area and saw everything that we did not pay for.
To the restaurant manager, please don't accept table reservations if you and your team think it's too late or you guys are maxed out. No one wants an awful time at a restaurant. You guys spoilt our lunch time with such bad food and memory. And I am trying to feed you back the spices you served i.e. - late delivery ( 50 mins for starters) , super hot Madras chicken runny curry in the name of mildly spicy chicken gravy, serving peri-peri sizzler to kids in the name of mild sizzlers, trying to serve stale malai tikka in the name of Peshawari Tikka, Tandoori served without proper seasoning.
The list is long ..Mr. Restaurant Manager (3:30 PM, 13-Nov 2022), when you came with a brave face and said you were not charging us for the Peshawari Tikka, I told you that you were not doing any favour to us by not charging for the Kebabs, you were basically rescuing yourself from embarrassment. You need to grow up and improve your knowledge around the food being served in your restaurant. Not everyone comes to the bar to get drunk and eat whatever is being served. We were there to experience the food and your service Sometimes errors do happen. The best way is to politely apologize and move on.
So overall a very poorly managed restaurant with an arrogant manager who has not much knowledge about food. A 1 star for the waiters for their polite behaviour. 0 star for food and the...
Read moreGood food, let down by abysmal service In all fairness, Spice Factory Kharadi has good food and their menu itself is quite appealing. But the attitude and commitment of the service staff of just not acceptable. If you’re charging a premium for the food and an additional 10 percent as service charge - I as a customer demand better behaviour from the waiters towards taking the order to serving food and everything in between. They asked us to wait for ten minutes (with the assurance of table availability) making us wait for twenty five minutes - this part I can understand as availability is not something we can predict. They took a full 15 minutes (after getting us a table got two) after chasing multiple waiters to even bother to take our order. The waiter was so absent minded (or probably chilled out in his own world) that I had to explicitly ask for the chutney that should’ve come by default with the starter. When asked for salt and pepper - a guy comes and places half cracked pepper on the table in a plastic container. We order a bottle of packaged water - this guy came and placed the water bottle on the table and didn’t even ask for glasses. Having such a bad experience, I asked the waiter that I would like to talk with the manager (a guy I’ve had already seen walking around in a black jacket) They presented me some other guy to talk to me. Upon sharing my disappointment, all he had to say is “sir rush is high on Saturday nights” - I’m quite convinced that they sent some dummy manager to my table to that this is not escalated.
If any one actually concerned about Spice Factory Kharadi branch is reading this - please put in some effort to educate the service staff to show bare minimum attentiveness, politeness and commitment towards the customers - else it wouldn’t be long that the good food will be overshadowed by the pathetic service of this branch
I didn’t bother taking any pics coz my entire experience was...
Read moreI visited this restaurant for lunch with my team members, and unfortunately, our overall experience was really bad. The first thing we noticed was that the Fresh lime sodas we ordered were not cold and were flat. We were informed that all soda bottles were kept at room temperature, which was quite disappointing. We ordered 5-6 sodas, and none of them were enjoyable.
We also ordered a pizza, but the cheese quality was not up to the mark, and it was overpriced. It was disappointing to pay a high price for a pizza that wasn't even satisfying. Moreover, we were surprised to see that they didn't have any Egg dishes on the menu, not even a basic omelet. It's hard to believe that a restaurant doesn't offer any egg dishes at all.
To add to our disappointment, the captain who served us had a high level of attitude and was very rude. It was quite surprising to see such behavior from someone working in the hospitality industry. To make matters worse, ordering food was a different level of trouble altogether. The menu card was not organized at all, and it was like a scramble game with all food items scattered everywhere. It was very difficult to find an item on the menu, and it seemed like this was done on purpose, which was quite frustrating.
The food itself was not so good, and the atmosphere was unwelcoming. The place was okay with basic services, nothing much to notice about. The biggest turn-off for me was that they didn't serve Masala Papad, which is such a basic item on an Indian restaurant's menu. The prices of this place are too high compared to the food and service they offer.
Overall, it seems like this place gets business only from Dine-out deals. If you're looking for a good dining experience, I would not recommend this place. The food and service are not up to the mark, and it's not worth the high prices they charge. There are plenty of better options available in the area, and I suggest you give this...
