Unique concept but Overrated and Over-hyped..

The place is heavily crowded most of the times. No thanks to the billing counter, which is inside and is pretty hard to reach as the people from serving counter block it..

It's a very tiny shop hardly 5-6 people can sit inside (I am not sure if they offer sitting upstairs). Ambiance is not that great, it fails to refresh your mood (sadly so does the tea, we will come to that later). The floor and tables were dirty.

Coming to the tea - When I first heard about Tandoor chai, I was like "Whoa! That's going to be one hell of a tea, the essence of mud from the kullad, that smoky flavour from tandoor, damn how can I not try it out; I should, I should, I should try".

And when I actually tried it, duh.. Disappointing, the chai/tea tasted nothing more than a masala tea; that's it the end of my fantasy. Didn't feel anything special about how the tea tasted. It's was just a usual tea, and I bet you you can get a better tea from few of the cafes among MG road/Camp area.

The bun maska is below average. When I say bun maska, do not forget the word maska; put out some real butter there. Certainly the ok-ish bun maska and is definitely not worth of ₹30.

If you are planning to travel few miles just to get a tea, I would suggest drop it. You can find better places closer to you. But if you are near by the place coincidentally, do try out the tea (who knows you might get the better cup of tea).

Hope one will have a better cup of...

Pipping hot tea, soft buttery buns, nice dainty sandwiches, soothing herbal and fruit teas and a myraid of other all time options which can satiate your tummy and pamper your taste buds.

Ambience: The outlet is a small, cosy, comfortable one with ample seating. The prime attraction is the tandoor which serves great smoky flavoured beverages.

Coming to the food part:

Tandoor Chai - This is their USP. The kullads are baked in the tandoor and then tea is poured into it. The smokey flavour is infused into it.

Passion fruit Green Tea: This tea was very refreshing. It had a wonderful aroma and was perfect to lift up your spirits

Tandoor Coffee: It is made in the same form as the tea, but this one will have more strong infusion of smokey flavour. Thoroughly delectable.

Nutella Bun: I'm a fan of Nutella but never did it taste so good!! It was the perfect partner of the most soft and fluffy bun.

Bread Butter Toast: Nice, crisp, buttery, brown bread... What more would you ask for the start of your day

Jain Veg Cheese Grilled Sandwich: Was good.

Service: They do dish out their delicacies real fast. Although there was continuous foot fall, their service was prompt.

Pricing: Considering the quantity and quality of products the pricing is very economical.

The franchise owner was very courteous and even shared the details that their tea leaves were specifically from Assam and had a mix of 16...

SKIP IT. I repeat, it's nothing but seriously HYPED tea. Ordinary Masala Chai that's highly overrated. Nothing more than that. Save your twenty bucks and time. I wish google would give the option of negative ratings. Even minus 5 stars wouldn't suffice for this dishwater being served in the name of unique tandoori chai.

For the past several months, I had been coming across this so called unique smoky tea on social media. Come to think of it, we travelled about 90 mins just to experience this unique tea. And truly what an disgusting experience we landed. WOW. Hugely disappointed. On top of that, when we asked, where is the smoky flavour to the guy serving the tea. He just shrugged the question and continued his business, least bothered, or wanting to know whats wrong with his stuff. He knew all the time, that his circus of making useless tea using a tandoor works. It only works to fool the customers, once. Expecting customer service or satisfaction from these guys, was my mistake. The only thing thing these guys are good at is promoting their sub-standard stuff via social media. Unfortunately we too fell for it. If you are reading this, and contemplating gong there, be prepared to be extremely...
