Best patice since my childhood and still the same, this is one patice that does not require support of other sides like chutney, kanda and sauce etc, only a green chilli is enough. The taste of patice is unique that makes it edible without anything else topped on it. One usually eats a bread pattis that is cut in 6 squares with chutney, kanda, shev toppings, but this patice has a good filler of special potato bhaji which has a unique blend of masala. People who are used to eating toppings on bread patice might find it odd. However this is not a place you can run and pick up a pattice in a flick, those who dont have time and patience may opt for some other option this is not your place to have a stop at. Patice is freshly fried that is its USP and genuine people who know good taste of bread patice will wait patiently, even of it takes 30 minutes. owner will not give you any rejected patice at any cost, he will also not keep it readily fried in a transparent box or cabin as is kept elsewhere. There are many food outlets in pune that has long waiting time, right from camps burger to this bread patice in model colony. Get used to it...
Read moreMust try at least once... And u can't stop your self coming back to them again and again. As name suggests they serve Pattis, it is basically bread slice stuffed with spicy mashed potato filling and covered with besan batter and then deep fried. But it tastes so delicious that u car practically die for it. By looking at shop's front look u wont even realize that these place sales some food or some thing if it was nat for there banner on the top of there shop. But the stiff sales so fast that one have wait at the counter for next batch of pattis to arrive. They don't have any sitting area or even standing tables, u just have grab one Pattis and start eating standing infront of the counter it self. But thats the fun about that place. As of 2019 one pice of pattis will cost you 20 rs and belive me...
Read morePattice has different meaning in different cities in Maharashtra. For me in Nashik it was the masal puff.. here in Pune its the bread pakoda with stuffing. In nasik the similar is Pav vada.. ok leave the names..the final product was really good. Spicy potatoes mix between 2 layers of white bread and the dipped in chickpeas batter then deep fried.. what can go wrong if you use a good quality oil. I found it spicy but the nostaglia of having this when I was a child worth the slice .. the owner just bring one batch in 10 min which gets over in 5 min.. no plastics only papers are used to serve.. the tricky part is to eat a burning hot pattice and use the paper as a plate and eat it standing.. all the effort is still worth a visit.. highly recommend it for a hot spicy...
