SWIG Bar & Eatery — Restaurant in Pune

Ok. I think I kind of need to get this off my chest. I was having dinner with a friend of mine at SWIG earlier this week. Food was ok, not bad, not much to complain but nothing home to write about either. And then this dude walks in, takes a table at a corner and I guess he was waiting for his food for a while (more than half an hour, I think), minding his own business and then I guess he goes to see the manager regarding what the delay was about and they (that's my hunch) kept him waiting at the manager's kiosk (dunno if that's the correct term) but from what I could gather this person got annoyed at the delay and decided to leave and this manager just runs in front of him, literally blocks the door, calls his bouncer (yes, I was as taken aback as that customer) and threatens to call cops unless he pays for the food which is yet to arrive. Dude was kind of holding his cool but this literal physical obstruction really pissed him off and there was a bit of a shouting match between two, even though he still did try to reason with the manager - of course the poor guy had to wait till his food arrived - what was he gonna do anyway - seemed like a nice person but hard to see him make his way past the beefy bouncer. Though, the moment food arrived he immediately paid the bill, called the manager and the bouncer, showed them the receipt, gave the manager an earful and promptly made his way out without even touching the food. The manager did appear to be an arrogant person and while I did feel sorry for the fellow customer (TBH I neither know him nor could care less about him), the reason I had to write this is because the manager's behavior left my friend really petrified and she obviously wasn't feeling comfortable with the vibe of the place anyway and did tell me so later - and that's actually my main complaint. Don't know about others but I for one would definitely give a wide berth to this establishment - at least for the foreseeable future till this particular manager is...

A person can never visit a place for once and come up with a conclusion about its food, but yes about the ambience he or she can. But can never come down to conclusion about the food. Last time when i visited this i tired few of the items from the menu. This time i had suggestions, Thanks to Abdul for those wonderful dish suggestion. one should always as the concern person for their speciality. we can go wrong with menu findings but if someone from the same place suggests something, i am sure the person will love it. and the same happened with me.

Veg Paneer Bao Chicken Tikka Bao.

Guys i must say these were the best of all. i have never tasted anything like these before and now it has set a mark and i dont think anybody will never be able to break it down.

A really wonderful place to visit with your friends. Nicely decorated, especially the inner section. Music volumes are moderate. A complete youngster’s place. Also the food quality is really good. Gathered here for a meet up with friends and crashed for some bottle of beers . No wonder that this place gives you the most positive vibes just after you enter this place . The environment is very chill place …. Best time to visit would be in the evening . In summers , you should definitely try their cocktails which they would give you in discounted by one get one offer before 7 pM . Dont miss the opportunity . The place will provide you offers over beers as well. Not just that , they have foose ball table where you can chill and enjoy the game of soccer with your chill buddies . Over all the place is really good , they have outdoor seating as well as indoor seating . Please mind their own business so you get enough privacy to spend some quality good time . The bar tenders and the waiters are very polite and gentle … they consider your request and provide you the best of their service . Food and snacks are very tasty and their peri peri fries are to die for . I loved the quantity as well as the quality of food is extreme . We had ordered Caesar salad as well, which turned out to be extremely good with that mayo topping and crispy bread crumbs . Everything is so perfect about this place .
