Fish curry rice is a restaurant than has a huge variety in seafood amongst which some of the recipies are discovered by them.The food they serve is mainly based from the coastal region of maharashtra.The spices used in every dish has a amazing taste. The prices of all the dishes in this restaurant are bit on a higher side , but the food that we get here is totally worth it. In here i tried different dishes and i loved all the dishes .
Tival : A kokam base drink which had a high punch of garlic in it.It is made by using dried kokam.Tival was served to us as a welcome drink.Its after taste was little sweet and sour.
Mix Kachrya : Kachrya means small fried chips of mainly potato or eggplant . This mix kachrya were made of potato , eggplant , pumpkin and banana..The coating was very crispy.The taste of this kachrya was tremendously luscious.
Onion Kachrya : This are the same chips as explained above but its taste was very different than other as onion was used instead of potato.The taste of the onion was very dominant and i loved it the most.
Kismur Papad : Kismur is a very famous goan dish which is also called as sukat/dried prawns.The kismur are made by cooking dried prawns with onion base and some added spices.The kismur were little bit crispy and spicy.The kismur was topped on a pappad with shredded coconut.
Bombil Thecha Fry : Bombil is a kind of fish which is also known as bo Bombay Duck.This bombil was stuffed with thecha and then shallow fried.The coat which formed on the bombil was very thin and crispy.
Prawns Alu(अळू) Wadi : Alu is a green leafy vegetable.This alu was stuffed with chopped prawns and added spices.Then this whole alu wadi is deep fried.Due to deep friying a thin and crispy coat was formed on the outerside of the wadi.Its taste was ultimate and slighly juicy.It was my first experience to try such a unique dish.
Surmai Fry : Surmai is also known as king mackerel . This fish is my favourite fish because it is very easy to cook and also very easy to eat.The surmai which was served in this restaurant has a very huge size.The owner taught us to recognize wheater the fish is fresh or not . The taste of this fish was very juicy and scrumptious.It was also not too much oily.
Prawns masala , Crab masala and Tisrya masala : This are the three main food items which are prominent in goan cuisine.The prawns masala was very taste which had a strong smell and flavour of the prawns.The masala in which prawns were cooked was very soul satisfying.Crab masala is made by cooking red crabs in some juicy , spicy and thick gravy of onion and some spices.The Tisrya masala was the best dish amongst all the dishes.Tisrya is also known as clamp's the flesh of the clamp's was well cooked and the gravy in which the tisrya were cooked had a strong fishy flovour which i loved the most.
The owner served us many samples of seperate curry's.These curry's include Prawns , Pomfret , mutton , mutton , Bangda and Surmai.All the curry's were very much appreciable.The bangda curry was slighly different than a ordinary bangda curry that we make at our houses because they add trifal in this bangda curry to boost it's taste.

Read moreAfter hearing lot of good reviews about this place and its food was eagerly waiting to visit it. Finally visited with few of my friends few days back. It is one of the famous seafood restaurant which serves authentic manglore, malwani and maharashtrian veg and non-veg cuisines. Its specially known for its seafood thalis. Ambience is pretty good with 2 types of seating arrangement (Upper Floor and Lower floor) The owner comes from Marathi plays (Drama) background so you can see glimpes reflecting that backgound in the restaurant decor.
We tried the following:-
Kokum Tival- Drink made by using dried kokum, water, cumin seeds, sugar. This was my first time to try this and it was served as a welcome drink and was Awesome in taste.
Mix Kachrya- Assorted fried slices of Potato, Raw Banana and Pumpkin which had a layer of mild masalas, coated with rawa for a crispy taste. Tasted good with the accompanied red and green chutneys.
Onion Kachrya- Fried slices of Onion with layer of masala and coated with rawa for crispy texture. Tasted good with the accompanied red and green chutneys.
Bombil (Bombay Duck) Thecha Fry- Having eaten normal bombil fry regularly this was a new try for me. This was stuffed with green chilli thecha coated with rawa and fried for a crispy texture. Bombil was fresh and tasting awesome with the thecha filling. This is a MUST TRY dish !!!
Kismur Papad- Crispy fried papad topped with kismur (Goan dry prawns / sukat) mixed with onions and coconut. Was superb in taste.
Surmai Rawa Fry- Palm sized fried pieces of surmai marinated in masala coated with rawa.This fish fry is crispy outside and moist and soft inside with a juicy and delicious taste.
Prawns Aloo Wadi- This was a newly added dish made by giving a fusion twist to the traditional maharashtrian aloo wadi dish. Fried wadi having a filling of finely minced prawns and masala with aloo leaves providing a outer coating. Had a fantastic taste and perfect crispyness.
Tisrya (Clams) Masala- Yummy shell fish made in the preparation of coconut and spices. A delicious dish which went well with accompaied bhakri.
Special Fish Thali- This was a huge thali which had-

All the items in the thali were truly tasty and flavourful. Apart from this we were also given a plate full of different curries to try which consisted of Surmai, Prawns, Pomfret, Chicken and Mutton Curry which were flavourful and delicious in taste.

Kanda kachrya-A one hell of a dish I loved with peculiar taste and extremely delicious.The onion rings were coated with masala and rawa fried.#highlyrecommended
Mix kachrya-These were mix kachrya with Eggplant,banana,potato thin slices fried in batter and served hot to enjoy the crispiness of the chips.
Thecha bombil-This is newly added dish now serving here.Pieces of bombil rawa fried with spicy thecha stuffed to enjoy the fiery bombil pieces.
Kismur papad-A papad roasted and topped with kismur which was fried with onions to taste well.One of a unusual starter dish and must try.
Surmai rawa fry-I always love having my surmai rawa fried.Thats what the dish was.Two huge fresh pieces of surmai marinated so well with the spices and coated with masala.The crispyness of the rawa from outside and fleshy inside succumbed me to have more of the pieces.#highlyRecommended
