Shri Mrutyunjayeshwar Mandir, Kothrud, Pune – A Truly Divine Experience
I visited Shri Mrutyunjayeshwar Mandir yesterday, and the experience was truly peaceful and spiritually uplifting. Tucked away in the heart of Kothrud, this temple feels like a calm spiritual haven amidst the city’s hustle and bustle.
As soon as I entered, I felt a deep sense of calm. The serene atmosphere, the divine energy, and the sacred aura around the temple immediately put my mind at ease. The beautifully established Shivling radiates devotion and strength – just being in its presence brings inner peace.
The temple is very well-maintained, clean, and organized. The staff and priests are humble and respectful, and the overall environment is perfect for meditation and quiet reflection. The sound of bells during the aarti, the chanting of mantras, and the peaceful surroundings create a magical, soul-soothing experience.
This temple is not just a place of worship, but a spiritual escape where one can reconnect with themselves. I left the place feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected with my inner self.
If you’re in Pune, especially around Kothrud, I highly recommend visiting this beautiful temple at least once. It’s not just a visit – it’s a spiritual experience you’ll carry with you.

All whole keeping the essence of this ancient temple just as serene and as touchingly full of the divine spirit!
Tip: If possible, go in the early morning or mid-afternoon... The greenery beyond the beautiful corner pillar is the perfect background for the divine energy of the temple 🙏🙏🙏 (photo attached).
I remember in late last century (80s) how it was pristine and serene and comprising of the ancient-style stone construction surrounded by lush greenery. Unlike many popular temples, this temple feels just as peaceful and one can actually feel close to God as one sits there quietly and meditates murmuring a stotra 🙏🙏🙏
