Mirch Masala Hotel — Restaurant in Pune

It used to be a great place but now survives only on its publicity. Service, food can make them earn 3 stars but pricing takes away couple of stars. Ambiance is same for ages. This place never changed.

This restaurant is on swiggy too, this is highlight... they have just 20% menu available on swiggy. Major items like egg items, lollipop are missing.

Packaging is baddest... even if you find something to order on swiggy ... they pack it in flimsy plastic containers. Either the lids come off during transit or container gets cracked. They hesitate to use tape to close the container... so everytime food arrives in unpleasant condition...

Baddest habit of the owners is... father-son I believe.... they keep on walking between the tables in round and round for hours and hours doing nothing. They care least about if customers are getting served or not... but they keep on walking.... just to complete their daily walk target I think.... that annoys me the most... secondly, the father, if he finds any table with people he knows... or old customers... he will grab a chair and join that table for hours and hours...pathetic... dhanda dekh na bhai....

Instead, if this father-son spends time on packaging the orders, managing extensive menu on swiggy... would earn them couple of more stars...

Remember.... whenever you go.... waiting is a must.... no place dedicated to waiting, you stand looking at the people eating on their tables... very uncomfortable...

Parking is pain in a butt... you need to take couple of turns between 2 chowk to find a slot for your car... no wallet parking.

It's a resto bar in Kothrud. The ambiance is pleasant. You may sit inside or outside. They have tried to give it a garden restaurant look but more plants would enhance that. Decoration is simple yet giving nice feel. We had gone night time so coloring and lighting suited the bar purpose. There's a valet parking. Despite working day, restaurant was full at night. On Saturday parking gets difficult. They have good variety of drinks and food. The food was a good quality and most Punjabi dishes are available. The quantity served in main course is good, so you must decide depending upon number of people rather than wasting food. We parceled the left over food. But one negative thing was they didn't accept 2000 notes though they can be used as of now. They claimed they have written it for information of customers but no such board was visible. So if anyone doesn't have other payment option, it would land in trouble and they must take care of issues that can cause...

Mirch Masala is the OG restaurant in Kothrud, as a solid choice for enjoying flavorful Indian cuisine. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere, and the decor adds to the overall dining experience they renovated the place a bit. Their menu is diverse, offering a great variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. I especially enjoyed the chicken 65, prawns biryani which was rich and full of flavor, these are must try dishes.

The service is generally good, with friendly staff who are attentive and helpful with recommendations. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the place can get a bit crowded during peak hours, leading to longer wait times. Also, while most dishes are excellent, a few could use a bit more consistency in seasoning.
