Hotel Aatithya — Restaurant in Pune

The hotel is very near to shanivar wada entrance. We had Punjabi thali, it had many items and was more than sufficient for one person. It had naan raita pulao chole paneer dahi and a small lassi shot. Price is also in budget 250 RS per thali and it's value for money. The ambience is good just one problem I felt the behaviour of the waiter was a bit rude and in attitude not sure why, maybe because we were not Marathi. He was literally dropping the plates and dishes on the table as if he was doing a favour by serving the food.

Also not sure why they were closing the hotel around 3-4pm, it was Sunday afternoon. Not sure why they would close...

Located just opposite to one of the front gates of shanivar vada. Once you enter the restaurant, you will notice that even though the space is less, seating arrangements are good. When we visited during lunchtime, the crowd was less, the very friendly waiter informed that they were running short on cooking staff so some dishes might not be available, but since we were hungry and tired we decided to go with whatever was available. So we ordered the thali that was available & an extra paneer dish. Food was definitely tasty. Though we would have liked to order some other dish, we were full with the thali food and left...

I had a really good experience at Hotel Athithya near Shaniwar Wada. The location is very convenient, especially if you’re exploring Pune city, as many historic spots and markets are close by.
