Sudams wife insist him to meet Krishna & he finally agrees. Poor sudama take rice krispies ( POHE ) with him. Krishma though was a king joyfully accepts sudamas gift by eating handful of pohe moment after he sees it. So thats the history behind the name SUDAMACHE POHE.
Situated in kasba peth, exactly opposite to east side entrance of Shaniwarwada. We punekars are so die hard foodies that even a normal breakfast item we cant accept if it is so simple. Sudamache Pohe is a breakfast joint that serves 9 different types of pohe. All of them are great in taste. Pohe are not oily at all. Quality, quantity & hygiene everything is A1. My personaI favorite is Kokani Pohe which is served with mashed potato & finally chopped coconut. Service is quick & prompt. All of the workers wear puneri nehru style topi written Sudamache Pohe over it. It just adds a puneri vibe to the place. I wish they open more outlets in pune soon. Just one suggestion to the management, if possible they should post pictures of all types of poha's...
