Hotel Basera — Hotel in Pune

The hotel is located in the heart of Pune city. Laxmi road, Tulsi baug market, Mandai, Shaniwar wada fort, Dagdushet Halwai Ganpati temple, famous Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale and many local restaurants are within walkable distance. Places like Tulsi baug market, Laxmi road, including Budhwar Peth where the hotel is located are shoppers paradise particularly for clothes, shoes, accessories, electrical goods, books, traditional items, etc. It's well connected with public buses and auto rickshaws are available just outside the hotel. As the hotel is bang on the market road, it can get bit noisy during the day. But the rooms in their new building are not road facing and it will be a good option if you want to relax during the day without being disturbed by all the sounds of vehicles and market. I had booked an AC room. The room was good and clean, though very small. The complimentary breakfast was good and food I ordered from their restaurant was tasty as well. Since I was staying alone, the hotel staff made sure I come for breakfast in time when I was late once, by giving a call. Hotel staff is very polite, courteous and helpful. Room service was quick. Hilarious experience!!🔴🔴

On the 6th of December, I stayed at a place with my family and had a rather amusing experience. During the night, we suddenly started itching, and upon investigation, we discovered a significant presence of large bed bugs. Despite keeping the lights on throughout the night, the issue persisted, prompting us to forgo sleep rather than disturb the hotel staff late at night. The next morning, when we shared the entire incident along with photos with the authorities, their response was surprisingly casual, treating it as if nothing significant had occurred. This was quite shocking for us. Additionally, there was no expression of apology, promise, or any form of acknowledgment. The service aspect was lacking as well, with no offer of a refund or any other resolution. The entire episode struck us as highly unprofessional and unexpected. Consequently, we have decided not to consider staying there again.

To add to the frustration, during checkout, they handed us a mineral water bottle and, surprise, charged us for it without any prior notice during check-in. No mention or heads-up whatsoever. Just another layer to this bad,...

Despite keeping the darn lights on all night, those pests persisted, forcing us to sacrifice our sleep rather than bother the useless hotel staff. The next morning, when we laid out the whole nightmare, complete with photos, the authorities responded with infuriating nonchalance, acting like it was no big deal. No apologies, promises, or even a basic acknowledgment. Their service was a total joke—no refund, no attempt at resolution. The whole ordeal was unprofessional and completely caught us off guard. Needless to say, we're never setting foot in that place again.
