Kalyan Bhel Center is a well-known bhel center that I recently visited. I had the opportunity to try their bhel, panipuri, and SPDP (Sev Puri Dahi Puri) dishes.
The bhel at Kalyan Bhel Center was undoubtedly tasty. It had the right combination of crispy sev, tangy chutneys, and flavorful spices. The flavors were well-balanced, making it an enjoyable snack.
I also tried their SPDP, and it didn't disappoint either. The puris were crisp, and the combination of sweet and tangy chutneys with the sev and other toppings created a delightful burst of flavors.
However, I found the panipuri to be average. While it had the traditional components of the dish, the taste and flavors didn't stand out compared to other panipuri I've had elsewhere.
One aspect that left me a bit disappointed was the pricing. The prices at Kalyan Bhel Center felt high, especially considering the portion sizes. The bhel priced at 90 Rs and panipuri at 60 Rs seemed a bit steep compared to similar offerings in the area.
In summary, Kalyan Bhel Center is a popular spot known for its tasty bhel and SPDP. However, the panipuri fell short in terms of flavor. The only drawback is the relatively high prices, which may make it less accessible for those...
Read moreI have been to the main branch in market yard and it always exceeds expectations. May it be cleanliness of the place , hygiene maintained while handling food or taste or enough sitting space. The owner himself makes sure that everything is running smoothly. But i felt this branch could have been better.the guy serving the food should wear jacket and a head mask. Place should have been clean. Now coming to the food it was up to the mark. We tried spdp which wasn't very soggy and made nice and crispy. Everyone was having cut dosa so we thought of having it and it turned out to be amazing. Rates are pocket friendly. No actual parking alloted but vehicles can be parked on the side of the road. They have water cooler for drinking water. Enough chairs to accomodate people 10 to 12...
Read moreBhel and Chat items to be enjoyed only by higher middle class and elite classes. Kalyan is an old brand. Right from their branch in Bhawani Peth to their multiple outlets, Kalyan has done a great development in business. However, obviously, there is a difference between eating Road Side Wada Pav and eating the same Wada pav in a multiplex or a mall. Generally, a roadside Pani puri would cost around Rs. 20, whereas at Kalyan it would cost around Rs. 60 plus. Genrally, a good bhel would cost you Rs. 40-50, while at Kalyan it would cost you around Rs. 90. The moral of the story, this is a chat ka thela with a lot of focus on quality and hygience at triple the price. The best thing to Tey here is their...
