Cocoon Hotel — Hotel in Pune

We actually traveled to pune for my father's operation in a hospital in Hadapsar Pune. We wanted to stay in a comfortable place which is close to the hospital and chose Cocoon.. I must start by saying that my stay along with my family was overwhelmingly comfortable which infact made the whole pre and post operation stay for us extremely seemless. To start with it has a good location inside magarpatta community, and very close to all the important places in pune.. the staff very helpful and friendly. Took care of every tiny need that we had, thanks to Ranjan, Atul and others in the front desk.. Also a special thanks to Manoj and Suraj from the restaurant who took care of our needs to every bit detail as we had a lot of movements to and from the hospital.. The rooms were sufficiently big and spacious with a good sized hall and privacy for the room. The restaurant was also quite good. Loved the breakfast. The Indian food was very authentic and they also had live dosas and eggs. For dinner when I tried the chinese food, really enjoyed the fact that didn't have the common chest burn that we get in many places.. Overall a must stay if you have a stay / work in pune. Highly...

Hotel rooms arw nice. Neat and clean. However they really need to work on the reception staff. They are absolutely unhelpful, lack knowledge. When interacting with reception it feels like talking to village person who has no knowledge about the policies and government regulations. This hotel has a policy of No Visitors even during the day. So none of your friends or family can even enter which is very strange. Hotel reception staff makes it feel like a 2 star low class hotel as they will shout on you as soon as you enter the lobby. There is no courtesy in the staff to walk to customers and ask whatever their question is they will stand inside the desk and shout on you while you are in the lobby. In the end I just avoided talking to the staff. Staff needs more training. Very uncomfortable stay in the hotel due to the staff. Feels like you are talking to the fools so better avoid. Food is good....
