I went to Malabar Hadapsar branch to buy studs for my 5 year old. Purchased one and tried to put it on her in the store itself and noticed that the screw of one of the pair was not working. Highlighted it to the manager who asked his staff to take it upstairs and fix it. The total weight was 0.90gm approx. The staff did something and told me it is all fixed. I asked him if I can leave and he said yes all done. I went to the counter and asked them to check the weight once again and it was 0.80 something approx. Something I would have expected the salesman to be upfront and inform me but they did not. Trust was lost here. I asked them to adjust the billing with the reduced gold weight and refund the remaining. I then tried to put the studs on for my daughter and the new one was so tight that there was no room for air to pass on. I highlighted it again and they asked me to meet the goldsmith. The goldsmith said it should be immediately removed as it will hurt the child. I was not happy with the earing but apparently that is the standard size according to the people in the store (strangely the standard size does not fit a 5year old) and since the billing was done I had only one option given to buy a gold coin for which I had to pay extra 4% if some charges apart from the gold charges and 3% GST. All this after spending 5hours in the store. It was their mistake and a defect in the product which they should have accepted and taken decision basis that but all they thought was to force the customer to buy another product which I did not want in the first place. They did not even try to provide some options. Customer Service is the last priority or rather I must say not even in the list of the Malabar Hadapsar store. Never visiting this...
Read moreWe visited them a few days ago for a small addition of gold wire to the already available chain for adding South Indian type mangalyam.
We first went to a nearby jewellers whom we presumed will be more suitable for our job. However, in the adjacent famous branded shop, the reception was cold and did neither show interest to take up the job nor suggest how they can be helpful being jewellers. We had to graciously exit from their shop and wanted to check in the next store which was Malabar.
As we entered their showroom, their manager Mr Khem Raj walked up to us and first greeted us and checked what they could do for us. When we told our needs, he said they can get it done immediately and took us to their Goldsmith in the first floor. In 5 minutes we could explain our needs and the next 15 minutes we exited their showroom after getting our job done satisfactorily. We were also served with bottles water and good cup of Cafe Coffeday coffee. The experience was simply outstanding.
We had a good experience with Malabar Jewellers at Bangalore - both at Jayanagar and Forum Mall South. This is our experience at Pune.
We have a consistent experience with them irrespective of whether you are a big ticket buyer or a small ticket buyer or the one seeking such small services which we sought at Pune. They treat all customers alike with due respect..
Special thanks to...
Read moreI visited multiple jwellery shops like Ranka,PNG where I had great customer experience. But in Malabar, Not happy at all with respect to customer experience.
It is very unfortunate where as a customer you need to ask for basic things like drinking water & coffee.
I asked for a coffee and waited till 20 min.. In mean time,my wife paid off Bill. While going I shared same feedback to their facilities but Mam said sorry sir next time will not happened.
I would say there is too much scope of improvement with respect to customer interaction and services.
I hope Malabar group have enough money to serve coffee to their customers. It is not a matter of coffee. It is matter of customer satisfaction.
