I recently visited Kalyani Veg Restaurant in Kalyani Nagar, Pune, and it was an experience worth sharing! This South Indian restaurant has truly carved a niche for itself, offering an exceptional dining experience for both locals and visitors. The first thing I noticed was the warm and inviting ambiance. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and the seating arrangement is comfortable, making it perfect for a family meal or even a casual outing with friends. What I loved the most was the friendly and attentive service staff who ensured that my dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. As for the food, Kalyani Veg Restaurant offers a wide variety of South Indian dishes, each prepared with authenticity and a lot of love. I tried their dosas, idlis, and vadas – each dish was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The dosas were crispy on the outside, yet soft on the inside, and paired wonderfully with their coconut chutney and sambhar. The idlis were light and fluffy, which is a true test of any South Indian restaurant. The vadas, crispy on the outside and soft inside, had the perfect amount of seasoning. For those who enjoy spice, Kalyani Veg also offers a range of flavorful curries and rice dishes that are sure to satisfy your taste buds. The portions were generous, and the quality of ingredients was top-notch. Pricing is quite reasonable considering the quality of food. With meals typically ranging from ₹200–400, this is an affordable dining option for those craving authentic South Indian cuisine in Pune. What I also appreciated was the availability of takeaway and no-contact delivery options, making it a convenient choice for a meal at home. Overall, Kalyani Veg Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in the area looking for tasty and authentic South Indian food. Highly recommend!

We (me and my friend Dhanesh) went to Kalyani veg this evening at around 9 pm through a non gear bike, we could not find a parking for our vehicle, so we parked it somewhere else. There was a huge rush as it was Sunday and people were waiting for their turn. However, as we were only 2, we got a table instantly and moreover, our order came much faster and fresh than others. We ordered 2 butter naan and paneer kadhai (a little more spicy). The taste was awesome, I would give 10 on 10 for the taste of Paneer Kadhai. The 1st Butter Naan was good, however it was not as soft as expected, but the 2nd butter naan came with seasame seeds and was thin, crunchy and chewable and most of all, was tasty! 3 Butter Naan with 1 Paneer Kadhai is best for 2 people to have a good dinner. Butter naan costs us Rs 60 per piece and Paneer Kadai was for Rs 230. The order was accepted by the person who was good at accepting orders and even the other order taker took our order and passed it on to the waiter. My friend also took a Dry Manchurian in a parcel, requesting the receiptionist to create a different bill for it. He did it right away and passed the order instantly. The receptionist also said us that our parcel will come soon when we were looking at him. Overall: I loved it! ❤️

Have been going to restaurant infrequently for many years now. This place has some of the best South Indian and North Indian food that you can get in Pune. This place opens at 8 am and closes at 11 pm. There are als other foods available here such as pizza, sandwich, noodles, etc. It's a nice place to visit with your family. You will end up paying about Rs. 400 per person. This place is relatively clean and the staff is helpful. Once you order, the food generally won't take longer than 15 mins to be prepared. If you don't want to eat here, this restaurant has recently gotten added to Zomato so you can order from there too. This is a vegetarian restaurant so you won't find any non-vegetarian food here. This place can however be a little bit loud. Also, they have an AC room as well. I definitely recommend you to go here for the reasons listed above. Thank you for taking the time to read the review and I hope you have a good day.

Edit: They have transferred all the reviews for the restaurant in Camp to this establishment - Very sneaky and unscrupulous. Perhaps this a new business which they wanted to aid by doing this. Truly shameful.

Original review meant for Sahare / Sahara Restaurants in Camp:This is one of those old establishments that enjoy prime location and therefore a steady clientele... So they just don't give a hoot. I cannot understand why they have such high ratings... maybe the expectations are really low from places like this... But they are not cheap... they should be held to much higher standards.

I used to love this place for simple, wholesome food... but the service is always poor. So I started going lesser and lesser because each time I came out from there feeling very upset.

First of all, they serve the food in random order after great intervals. They might come first with desert and then dal... and then you will have to wait for a really long time till you get roti etc. to eat... by which time the food has gotten cold. And if we say something e.g. I wanted to have the snacks first... they get annoyed and refuse to come back with the main course till you've asked at least 3 times.

If you go to a place like Sukanta... there is a logic and order to the food being served. They first give the chaat and serve you the drinks... and if you tell them you'd like to have dessert at the end, they don't keep bothering you again and again with it (an obvious courtesy that the bozos at Sahare clearly don't seem to understand). I love Sukanta because I feel taken care of by the staff... they're sweet and clearly want you to have a lovely time.

But Sahare... they don't give 2 hoots. Out of the 6 or 7 people serving me today (including the bespectacled manager)... there was only one guy who was courteous and considerate. The rest are rude, shameless and least interested in customer experience.

I've also noticed that their behaviour towards women is 10 times worse than towards men... I know... this is India... But when they have expensive prices... the least they can do is give good service.

Also they didn't have khichdi today. Their excuse is that they don't make it on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (Today is Wednesday, by the way)... Why? Especially when it's available online... just not in person? Their masala rice has SO MUCH garam masala... (their khichdi does too... but it's lesser)... I never go for it.

It's been months and months since my last visit... maybe it will be years before I go there again. I wish Sukanta was closer.

In my experience... the fish stinks from the head... The bad service is indicative of the management / owner's attitude. Till he gives a damn, things will stay the same. I've always associated Sahare with consistently pathetic service... and it seems unlikely that will change.

P.S. Check out their response to me. After such a detailed account of my experience... they still want me to reach out with "further" feedback. And not meeting"my" expectations is not the point... you guys don't meet basic, logical service expectations. Take a leaf from Sukanta's book... You'll don't even do 1% of what they do. It's not about the price. They have a lot of variety... It's about BAD service... BAD attitude. I am sure you'll will...

THE WORST EXPERIENCE! Horrible staff.

I believe this hotel can’t digest good reviews. After having already stayed here for once, We preferred to go with this hotel again. But to my surprise, I found out that there’s no hospitality, courtesy and sense of responsibility left in the staff as well as the manager of the hotel( who was of course missing throughout) Following were my horrible experiences: a) our check in time was 1400 hrs and we came at evening 2000 hrs, and we were made to wait for another 30 mins because there was no room for us!! Somehow They were arranging for a room with king size bed( which again was a lie and explained in the (e) paragraph), they gave a lame excuse of housekeeping staff cleaning the room. b) when we entered the room, there was no water made available to us after we asked for it we were provided one warm bislery bottle whereas the room was booked for two ppl. c) There was no almirah, only bunch of hangers, there was only one towel in the washroom whereas the room was booked for two! we still adjusted ourselves to their horrible state of rooms. d) The worst was when we decided to rest, thing which got on our nerves was the state of dirty uncleaned unchanged pillow covers!! When asked for the justification the staff shamelessly replied “its ok i have kids working under me and they have done it not me, let me change it” as if the guy was doing any favour on us by changing!! I am attaching pictures of it. e) Instead of paying extra for a king size bed, we were provided double beds joint and aligned smartly to cater for double bed. Pictures attached. f) wifi is only for a formality however the data speed of my 2g internet was better! After demanding for an assistance, operator came and assured that he ll go down and rectify it, but again living upto our expectations, he never turned up throughout the stay!! g) The sad part was when we consulted the receptionist through call, he rushed through his side of story and banged the call while i was not even finished and had few more concerns to convey. Why are you hired as a receptionist? h) we ordered for bread butter, and we were served with cold bread, who the hell on this earth gives cold and hard bread and butter separately?? j) We went out in the evening and when came back to room, the RFID swipe card was non functional!! After going down to receptionist and asking for manager, we were denied and told that the manager is out of station!! Asked for his number and it was out of reach! I mean is the hotel run by a receptionist?? And this was all for which i paid 6k?? Our check out date was 23 Apr, but these people forced us to book another hotel move out on 22 Apr evening. IT TAKES HELL AMOUNT OF EFFORTS TO EARN 6k. And we wasted it on such a hotel provided us 0 facility. And with the behaviour of staff, we were really offended! Worst experience. NOT RECOMMENDED! A big NO. There are far good hotels with genuine staff and great hospitality in the...

I have been frequenting this establishment since 2014, and without a doubt, it remains one of the best restaurants I have ever visited. From the moment I first craved pav bhaji, I knew this place would be my go-to destination. Let me delve into the reasons why this restaurant has continually impressed me.

Firstly, the staff at this restaurant is exceptional. They are not only polite but also remarkably quick in their service. Their attentive and friendly nature makes every visit a delightful experience. The efficiency and professionalism displayed by the staff are truly commendable.

One aspect that stands out is the cleanliness and hygiene maintained throughout the premises. The restaurant prides itself on ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, creating an atmosphere that is both inviting and comforting. I have always found the dining area to be immaculate, and the attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness is truly commendable.

Furthermore, the availability of well-maintained washrooms and convenient parking facilities adds to the overall comfort and convenience of dining at this restaurant. The management has taken care to provide these amenities, which is a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction.

Location plays a significant role in choosing a restaurant, and this one is strategically situated right opposite the new metro station. This makes it easily accessible for patrons using public transportation, saving them both time and effort. Such a convenient location further enhances the overall dining experience.

Lastly, the ambiance of this restaurant is genuinely pleasing. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy a meal. Whether you're dining alone, with family, or with friends, the ambiance sets the perfect tone for a memorable culinary experience.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. It excels in every aspect, from the exceptional staff to the spotless cleanliness, convenient amenities, and welcoming ambiance. Whether you're a regular visitor or a first-time diner, you are bound to have an outstanding experience. This restaurant has consistently delivered on its promise of culinary excellence, and I look forward to many more satisfying visits...
