I had a really disappointing experience at M. M. Restaurant . The food was average at best, nothing special, and definitely not worth the hassle I had to go through with the service.
Here’s the most frustrating part: I made an online payment, but it was stuck in "processing" so I paid in cash as well. I requested that if the online payment was successful, they should return my money. I took the mobile number of the staff in charge and agreed to follow up by phone. The next day, I realized that the payment had gone through, so I called them to request the refund. However, the person on the other end kept saying the person handling the transactions was unavailable and that I should call later.
Since I lived about 10km away, I couldn’t go back in person. I sent my uncle, who is familiar with the restaurant staff, to follow up. After sharing the Google Pay screenshot with the manager, he completely ignored my message and calls. To make matters worse, he blocked my number and kept asking for the same details again from another number I called from.
Months went by, and when I finally visited Pune again, I tried to confront the manager in person. He was extremely rude, unprofessional, and didn’t even acknowledge my concern. He ignored me completely and even walked away while I was standing there, waiting for a response. The level of arrogance and lack of respect was beyond frustrating.
The entire experience has been a nightmare, and I would not recommend this place to anyone based on my encounter. The food might not even be the worst part—it’s the absolutely terrible service and unprofessional attitude that...
Read moreThe thing with the reviews is that it pops up only if u click on the star. And I don't feel like giving any!! Why? Coz all those stars that helped MM shine in Aundh road no longer exist. Dear current owner, I m not going to call u or tell u personally about the inconvenience. U be Man enough to observe the change. Your service guys r lost in some other world. The glass that u serve now for dine-in looks like have been borrowed from nearby local wine shop and God, they r dirty. I had to ask for the glass and that too came after the bill arrived. The food that u have on the menu, the waiters have no clue what's the ingredient. And I brought my family with some friends today afternoon. Imagine the wrath post lunch!! If u dine outside, the tables are so dirty with stains and spillage of food. Damn care attitude of the staff. I thought maybe it's just me but past few months the reviews also say the same thing. I would rather prefer "Saathe bar" opposite to u in the future. Both you and Saathe got renovated some time ago. It's a really turn off, MM. Atleast Saathe welcomes and cares for its guests unlike yours. We r elderly couple living in Orion Complex and we always prefer nearby options. And u were the best because there was a a trust, bond and the vibe. Now there is nothing. If u want more stars, please have the spark first. But I know all you care is money, and more money. Reminds me of which the cashier sitting today in the afternoon didn't even make an eye contact. All u did was counting cash. Wow! Gud bye and thanks for...
Read moreM.M Restaurant has been a long-standing establishment in the Aundh Road area, known for its pure vegetarian cuisine. Having dined there over the years, I've noticed a decline in the quality of their food compared to its heyday about 10 to 15 years ago. However, recent changes in management, including the hiring of a new chef and staff, along with a complete renovation of the restaurant, seem promising.
Upon my recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the improvements. The ambiance was refreshed, and there was a noticeable difference in the taste and presentation of the dishes. It appears that they are making efforts to regain their former glory.
Although I may have been disappointed in the past, I'm willing to give M.M Restaurant another chance in the future. I believe they are on the right track and anticipate further positive changes on my next visit.
In the meantime, for those seeking pure vegetarian fare in the Aundh Road area, M.M Restaurant remains a viable option worth...
