Monginis Cake Shop — Restaurant in Pune

Worst cake shop ever. I recently purchased a chocolate flavour cake from Monginis, aundh outlet for my kids birthday but to our surprise we received a old, far from fresh cake for us. Disappointed with this outlet specifically as they serve cakes stale and old, far from the fresh. Not just the base layers but Including the toppings and cream also. Once when taken back to the shop and asked for replacement or refund the server tasted and accepted it initially and said we will report it to the head office but will have to wait for a few days. Later the arrogant owner/manger approaches and after tasting the same cake says why did I cut the cake? Because he shamelessly says he can not sell it again now so he won't accept the cake and I should have tasted it before getting the cake cut. when i asked him to provide me a bill for my purchase so that i can raise an official complaint and even though i made the complete payment he hands it over a hand written on a blank (rough) paper. When asked for a proper printed bill he doesn't have any so after arguing i insist him to atleast put a stamp on it for reference to understand the outlet details. unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Firstly all staff from cashier to waiter are seems to be non-indian who will give weird looks n makes u feel miserable on ur arrival in shop..Here I asked for cheesecake if available any... And person showed me red velvet cake.. I asked him thrice,are sure what you showing me is a cheesecake cake and he confirmed me that it is cheesecake inside red velvet icing. So took it. But cake was purely red velvet and that even with dried cake inside.. not at all fresh.. smelled acidic and may be 2-3 days old for which they charged 500 bugs. It ruined my mother bday bash.. do not recommend this shop..Staff is lier and not at all CUSTOMER friendly who doesn't communicate in Hindi or Marathi.and cakes are with lowest quality wrt health, taste and money etc.. pathetic experience…. Don’t go for buy its very rediculos...

On 5th May 2021, bought four veg paneer puff at 11:45 am. Came home and took them to eat at 12:30 pm. But the vegetable mixture inside puff was spoiled and smelling bad. So in just 45 minutes the food was spoiled, which means it was already damaged when I bought it.

Not sure how a big brand like Monginis is selling such bad product. And that too in such early hours of the day.

When I called the shop. The person said bring the food back to shop, they don't have anyone to send to me right now. They were neither surprised that food was damaged, nor they want photo as proof. I told them that I live 4 kms from the shop and I cannot come, but got response that they cannot come and take away the food, so cannot help. However took mobile number if they want to call later.
