Online Cake Delivery | Baker's Basket — Restaurant in Pune

We had shifted recently to hinjewadi phase 3 and was looking for a shop to order cake for my son’s birthday . We knew this shop from the Internet plus we were earlier in Aundh .i reached this shop on Thursday 10 pm and ordered for the cake . However since it was from a picture ,customised cake , it did not get confirmation of my order . Next day I called up at 11:00 am as they had asked me to call up next afternoon . I had to speak and convince to take the order as it was kind of last minute order for them . Then they called to expect 20 % different .Also we somehow managed to pay only by 4 pm until which they did not start .Next day on Saturday , the delivery man was initially reluctant to deliver , because the cake might melt . But we had no option but to get it delivered . We took the risk . My husband took the delivery at the hotel . When I finally saw the cake , during cutting ceremony it was the exact cake we ordered . It tasted so good . It was a sight . The people around and even the restaurant manager clicked the pic of the cake quickly. It became a main point of the d- day . We are so thankful that the cake was so up to the mark ,tasty and delivered even though there was slight delay from our end . Xavier at the shop Is young but managed everything so well . Have been eating Bakers Basket cakes and Puffs since I was a kid, even prior to 2000s. Every birthday a 1 kg Black Forest cake was a must. Their Black Forest cakes are delicious, there have been some changes to it though. It somewhat tastes the same but still feels something missing.

Their rum ball used to be delicious. So were the puffs. The recipes have changed. Never had the same kind of rum balls anywhere.

There used to be a savoury roll with some stuffing, don't remember the name, it used to be my favourite. If they can bring back those items with the same quality from the 90s (rum ball, rolls), it will be my go to place. The Shrewsbury biscuits are a good addition...
