Visited this restaurant on a Friday evening and, thankfully, seating was available. But the first impression was far from welcoming. The place looked extremely unclean, tissues and scraps scattered on the floor, and the tables clearly hadn’t been wiped properly. The lack of hygiene was so evident that we had to personally clean the plates and silverware with tissues before using them. Honestly, when basic cleanliness is questionable, it already sets the wrong tone for the whole dining experience.
We started by ordering some papads, which took forever to arrive, and only came after we reminded the staff. Then came the main order: dal khichdi with tadka. Now, dal khichdi is one of the simplest, most comforting dishes — almost impossible to go wrong with. But here, it managed to disappoint. There was barely any tadka, the taste was bland, and it felt like the dish was made without any thought. Having tasted dal khichdi in so many places across India, this one really fell flat.
Hoping to make up for it, we decided to try their fried rice and Schezwan fried rice. Unfortunately, this only made things worse. What was served was more like a plain veg pulao with red coloring. To top it off, there were whole elaichis (cardamoms) in the so-called “Chinese fried rice” — something I’ve never seen before, and not in a good way. The flavors were mismatched, and the dish was far from what one expects when ordering fried rice.
I understand that delivering great taste and consistent quality can be challenging, but for a vegetarian restaurant, the bar shouldn’t be this low. And if not the food, at the very least, hygiene and cleanliness should be non-negotiable — that’s the bare minimum diners expect. Sadly, this place missed the mark on both counts. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and one I wouldn’t...

Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant and feel compelled to share it. Right from the beginning, the staff was extremely unwelcoming. We were left waiting for over 30 minutes just to place our order. During that time, we were given water bottles but not even offered glasses, which is basic service. When we tried to get the attention of the waitstaff, they were completely unresponsive. Eventually, we attempted to speak to the manager, but instead, a person who seemed to be a relative of the owner (possibly his brother) responded. His behavior was shockingly rude and unprofessional. He clearly had no understanding of what customer service means in a hospitality setting. This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. A restaurant should make guests feel welcome and respected, and unfortunately, this place failed on every front. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant...
