My Order- Caramel brownie chocochip shake Hawaiian cooler Godmother burger Double beast burger Chicken steak with spaghetti in tomato basil sauce . My Review- This is one such cafe which never disappoints. You want gourmet, delicious and instagrammy food which is light on your pocket; you get it all here. With a blend of continental cuisine and contemporary style of cooking too, they menu is flourished with burgers, wraps, salads, pizza, grilled steaks to name a few along with a variety of shakes, coolers, fresh juices, smoothies, coffees and a few desserts too. Located in one of the most well liked market, Amigo’s has done a brilliant job to attract the young generation to make this their hangout place. The sitting is a very cosy, comfortable space with a breezy vibe going on. We were here to try their tremendously epic gourmet burgers which I had heard a lot about. Godmother was a vegetarian burger which as stated was messy burger smeared with rainbow coleslaw. The other we tried was the Beast burger which had 2 patties along with a special touch of their garlic mayo. This one looked extremely appetising and well assembled. Both the burgers were served with a side of chips. Another totem from the menu I was excited to try was the minced chicken steak with spaghetti and tomato basil sauce, in which we got veggies as an add on. Loved this one too. The steak was perfectly cooked, the sauce was tangy, loaded with veggies, spaghetti was well seasoned. Overall a great dish!! While the Hawaiian cooler was refreshing, the Caramel brownie chocochip shake was super thick and satisfied my sweet tooth. The staff here is very sweet, absolutely loved their hospitality. They give great recommendations too just in case you are unable to pick what to order from their sounding super delicious menu. Totally recommended!! Cost for 2- Rupees 800 approx. . Keep supporting...
Read moreIt’s been a long time since I wrote a review for a place but I think I’ll make up for that.
Amigo's cafe opened recently in Mohali and has been quite some decent quality food for a while now.
At first I was a little skeptical to write about it, but having visited it a number of times, I think I can give you a little inside on the cafe.
Personally I had a wonderful experience as fas as hospitality is concerned.
I got my hands on a variety of food and overall they impressed me.
Let’s jump quickly into food first; first things first, as soon as you reach amigos, order a pull apart bun and twisted fries!
It started off well, but the food soon disappointed me. The sauce they prepared which is used in variety of items was not up to the mark. I mentioned that to the owner and he assured me that they’ll work on it. Really appreciate the fact that they accepted the feedback positively and I hope they worked on their sauce and improved the quality.
The pasta was okayish and was on the sweeter end I prefer a bit on the creamy and not so sweet side.
Pizzas were better.
The drinks were the best of them all! Special shout out to the fresh pineapple and watermelon juice. The presentation was really amazing and the mixer nailed the drinks. The shakes were good but still could’ve blown my mind! They need to work a little on it too. And lastly the desserts: I liked the ice cream taco. Sounds strange, tastes beautiful! And apparently they have both flat pan and instant liquid nitrogen ice cream.
The thing that made them so special was that the food was fresh and you could taste the flavors better when the food is fresh. Just a little more attention and they can...
Read moreAmigos cafe landed in Mohali with a lot of shosha and chaos because of their innovative offerings and obviously the hot notch location.
I paid a visit to them almost after a month of their launch. The cafe is cool, comforting, the wall art executed by the artist is commendable.
Let's come to the food now. Trust me, I was pretty excited to try on their pleasing enough pull apart bread, the potato chip ticks, fresh juices. All facinated by enumerous posts made by fellow bloggers. But, was left disappointed on my visit to them.
I ordered the pull apart bread from their menu which could not be served as their oven was not functional on that particular day. Never mind, just a bad timing. The next pick was potato chip stick. Uhhh! Why? Why would a chip stick be so soggy and uncooked? I have had it enth number of times and nowhere by any chance it is supposed to be all drainy and oily. A chip stick has to be crisp. As crisp as its chew could annoy person sitting next to me. The only reason I would want to have a chip stick is because of the crunchiness and sprinkled Peri Peri or sauces.
The Ninja turtle faced chicken burger was juicy and yum, filling too.
Their ice creams are the best. The nitrogen roll ice cream. Nothing new in the town but wait, they serve Ice cream in a Taco shell and it's pretty amazing.
The cafe is ideal for somebody just loitering around the 3B2 route and would want to hog on something. Not meant for large groups/families wanting having good meal. Ideal for bunch if friends to sit,...
