Lovely place, well presented, very clean restrooms, beautifully decorated and spaced.
Food - was quite good, the non veg mixed grill was huge and delicious, the chicken pakora was excellentâŚ
BUTâŚ. The kids ordered French fries when they came eventually.. they were covered in spicy masala, please if you are serving spicy fries put it on the menu or at least ask, I ordered some more plain fries, they took a life time to come out over 30 minutes. I had to ask 3 times. The waiting staff were always polite. They also serve by putting some of what is ordered on your plate. I asked them to leave it on the table and we will help ourselves. They happily obliged.
The service was very slow, the re-ordered fries came after we ordered another portion of pakoras and the fries were over cooked! The food i.e. starters came out in dribs and drabs.
The beers - it says pint but coming from the UK a pint is 568ml not a 375ml bottle and there is no draught beer available. But I was happy seeing Hoegarrden on the menu and it actually being available.
There was 4 children and 6 adults and we didnât have mains the total was around 9700rs.
I was paying but their card terminal doesnât take international cards (Iâm from the UK) I tried both my debit and credit card (both cards have been travel enabled), I didnât have enough cash to pay the bill but had to split it, if it wasnât close family with me it could have been quite embarrassing. We being from outside India we canât use Paytm or Google Pay!
Fix your service - it needs to be faster and quicker to the table. Ask if we are finished before clearing, ask us if we want to be served, allow international card payments (you look like an amazing place but donât compliment it by not offering great service and international card payments).
The fries situation killed it for me and was very disappointing, I even joked with the waiter are you growing the potatoesâ and âat last the potatoes have grownâ. Note, it wasnât busy at all. Fries take 3-5 minutes in a hot firer to cook.
I gave a 3 stars for nice and polite staff, free WiFi, good portion sizes, good menu and beautifully decorated. Fix the issues mentioned could...
Read moreDhaba- A Punjabi theme was on my radar for quite some time. I went here recently for lunch and it was a fabulous experience.
The place is spanned across a huge space with nice seating options and beautiful ambience. Speaking of their food, it was simply surreal.
For starters, I tried out their Dahi ke kebab, Chicken Reshmi kebab and Cheese spinach corn spring rolls. Dahi ke kebab was a relatively nice appetizer. Well complemented with the mint chutney and masala onion salad, this is a quite mildly spiced kebab that one could try. Next up, the Chicken Reshmi kebab had excellent marination and was cooked to perfection. Simply outstanding stuff. Do not miss this one at all.
On the other hand, the cheese spinach corn spring rolls were fairly decent. I felt that a bit more seasoning could have done wonders to this appetizer.
Nevertheless, the rolls were quite crispy on the outside and the inside filling was quite generous.
For mains, I would definitely recommend you to try their Chicken Khurchan and Butter Chicken. Speaking about the Chicken Khurchan first, it is one dish that is symbolic to this place. Let me tell you that you will not get this dish at any other restaurant in the tricity area. I just loved the consistency of the gravy with small, bite-size chunks of chicken. Pair it with their Sanewan ki roti, which is actually an onion chapati spiced with red chili and topped with butter.
Their Butter Chicken was also quite rich and tasty. I would certainly have to say that in terms of pricing, the portion size offered was massive. One full portion would easily accommodate upto 4 people. Enjoy it with their Pudina Parantha or Garlic naan.
Since I was quite full with the mains, I decided to skip the desserts section majorly and had a bite of their Matka Kulfi. It was an excellent end to the lovely lunch. The kulfi was not as sugary as you would usually get outside and had a nice portion of pistachios in it.
Overall, I would surely recommend this place to all of you. The staff is really proactive and the service is also quite commendable. Looking forward to visiting them super soon....
Read moreUndoubtedly the best Indian gastronomy in Tricity. This Punjabi themed restaurant has done beyond excellence in their curation and execution of not just food but also in their interiors as well as their services. The decor is simply charismatic and the ambiance gives full family restaurant vibes. The menu is a full dhaba menu curated with a modern tadka which does highlight in the foodâs flavor too. Some of the great picks from the menu would be- â˘Dahi kebab â˘Murgh reshmi kebab âď¸ â˘Cheese spinach corn spring rolls â˘Dhaba special butter chicken âď¸ â˘Dhaba special chicken/paneer khurchan âď¸ â˘Paneer makhni â˘Sanewan ki roti, pudina parantha, green chilli parantha, garlic naan âď¸ â˘Matka kulfi âď¸ With bang on taste of the drool worthy butter chicken it justifies being under the spotlight. What new I saw here was the khurchan of paneer and chicken on the menu served in the base of a very rich yellow gravy. This tawa concept dish is only confined to a few menus in the area but what you get here is just amazing . Best goes a green chilli parantha with it to bring in that complimenting spice and to hold the gravy in your bite. Sanewan ki roti is a different style of Indian bread that is crunchy enough due to the onion bits that accentuates butter chicken well. Since the food is so rich in its ingredients and the portion size is bountiful, a full plate can serve 4-6 people. Itâs a totally worth the money you plan to spend here dining in. Cost for 2- Rupees...
