I have been visiting One8 Commune Mohali regularly with high expectations, but unfortunately, this time they fell terribly short. The food quality was disappointing across the board.
To start, the Sushi was extra thick layer of rice and fish had a bad smell to it; signifying the lack of freshness.
The Fish and chips were favlourless with a thick batter, seemed double cooked.
The gyoza were cold and raw in middle.
For the Indian mains they hit a new low. Basic Dal Makhni was sweet like sugar was misplaced for salt.
Butter chicken meat was iffy.
Mutton was terrible, extra chewy and overly spicy with loaded oil.
Over all it lacked the flavour and freshness that is the base of any restaurant.
Service was polite and prompt, but the basics of fine dine service were absent. For the main service, one dish was served and took 20 minutes for the second dish to arrive and 10 minutes for the others.
During reservation we made it very clear that it was a special day as it was my mothers birthday but no attention was paid to the details and they successfully ruined what was meant to be a good dinner night.
To top it all up, we all fell sick the next morning and on antibiotics now for food poisoning.
I hope the restaurant takes this feedback to heart and works on improving their culinary offerings. For now, I would recommend exploring other great dining options if you’re looking for a satisfying meal and...
Read moreI had a pathetic and appalling first experience at your CP67 Mohali restaurant.
We entered the restaurant at 9:30 pm and came out at 11 pm without food. Writing reasons in points
Complaints.
Platter was served after 30-35 minutes of order that also cold, it was returned and new platter came after 15 minutes, it was hot but not good in taste.
We ordered for main course which was served after 45 minutes of placing an order and that was also cold .so we didn’t eat food and complained to general manager. I have already filled feedback form.
I felt pity for the only trained waiter who served us and was listening to us , he was the only trained personnel on rooftop area taking orders from all , serving all the tables even clearing and cleaning the table. Rest of the staff was so untrained, they couldn’t understand the order or options of the menu. Nor they know how to clear the table. Staff was even lesser than required number.
Suggestions
You need to give proper training to untrained personnel and hire more number of trained people that could serve customers nicely and professionally.
You should improve quality of food.
Customer shouldn’t be kept waiting for 30...
Read moreOne of the most overrated places in the tricity. We tried dimsums and pizza.
The dimsums were from the Virats fav menu something like Mushroom Googly Dimsums, which had minced veggies and maybe mushroom in it also, but couldn't figure out the ingredients. The dip with the dimsums tasted like tabasco but looked like a tandoori Mayo.
Now here comes the showstopper. We should've stopped from ordering it. It was the all veggies pizza called garden fresh something and I think they literally bought it from garden. The veggies in the pizza were fresh and looked raw, as it was put directly from the garden and they didn't put it in the oven. What a unique way of giving veggies pizza. I like my veggies cooked, so will be definitely avoiding it in the future.
I would definitely rate it 10/10 for their marketing genius. Creating fomo using social media. They had people waiting outside the restaurant even though it had almost 50 percent occupancy inside. Maybe they were busy collecting veggies from the garden. So...
