Ambrosia in Amritsar. Amritsar is known for it rich food and culture. However this place takes the crown jewel. This small family run business is operational for the last 100 years. You need to taste here to understand why.
Very authentic tandoori kulcha stuffed with potatoes, onions, spinach, lots of other things including the most important one "love". Very consistent in food taste and quality. Eating there for almost a decade now whenever I am in the city. Order a double butter kulcha and I bet it might be the best vegetarian food you ever had.
Some issues though Its located inside the old city. So getting there could be a nightmare considering the bad traffic. Parking would be equally tough even for a 2 wheeler vehicle. Its a oven cuisine (which takes time to cook) and a very popular place among locals. On a holiday, expect delayed service with big crowds.
For me the pros outweigh the cons. That is why why I love this place. Definitely...
