Ahuja Lassi — Local services in Punjab

I have heard from so many people that when it comes to lassi, Ahuja Milk Bhandar's Lassi is the best that one can get in India. Me being a lassi lover was obviously very excited to try lassi here and the first place where i headed to after landing in Amritsar was this shop.

It is a small shop with no sitting area. I ordered a normal lassi and a kesaria lassi. It was morning time and i was really hungry. First i recieved the normal lassi. It looked really tempting, served in a big steel glass with malai and makhan on top. While the malai and makhan on top of it tasted good, the lassi under that had watery texture. It was almost as thin as chaach. Though it tasted decent, but the lack of thickness ruined it's taste. Forget the best lassi of India, it was not even the best lassi of Amritsar.

Well, i still had hope from the Kesariya Lassi. The curd used for it had saffrom flavour which i liked because most of the places add kesar syrup in normal lassi to give it kesariya feel. They had the natural one. But as was the case with normal lassi, once i ate the delicious malai and makhan from the top of it, the lassi inside was again watery. It was such a disappointment.

I have heard about their Phirni as well on You Tube. A very popular Youtuber called it the tastiest phirni that he has ever eaten. Well, after taking just one scoop from their phirni, i was certain that this youtuber has no idea what a phirni is. If their lassis were a disappointment, their phirni was a disaster.
