Gaji's Restaurant — Restaurant in Rajasthan

If I could I would give it a negative but unfortunately for me and luckily for this restaurant that's not possible.

The staff for the restaurant had a man who was arrogant and not helpful at all. If you ask him anything about the preparation he will just start noting the dish as your order. You order half the quantity and he servers you full and then denies and blames you for not specifying and boasts about having enough money to serve people for free after charging you for the full amount due to his mistake. You request him to suggest something good and confirm the quantity and yet he will end up serving you something that you didn't order for. Since it was cold we ordered for soup and when served none of us could gulp more than a spoon or two. All left it. The next was roasted papad. They were cold and wired in taste but much better that the other dishes we were served there. They had some deep fried chicken dish and we ordered for half of this and yet were served with the full quantity. This had undercooked and tasteless absolutely bland chicken. Imagine for just 3 adults full quantity when you have already ordered for another starter, soup and main course. However, then came the other starter which was continental and again taste less, the roti which was hard to bite and gravy with undercooked chicken and of course consistency with the horrible taste was still on. Let's not even think about trying to explain the quality of food served there.

We all ended up paying for food that we could not even finish by 1/10th and then of course we were still hungry and since it was late we could not get anything else to eat and slept empty stomach.

The hotel is not bad, easy on pocket and the owner Mr. Gaji is really good to talk and very helpful but the restaurant there...

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Really loved the bed. Shower is nice. Unfortunately no hot water even though management promised us hot water. The only unfortunate experience we had here was with the management or owner of this place. Upon arrival we booked the room with balcony but instead he gave is another room without any windows. He have us a discount of 50 rupees per night.

After that we decided not to do the camel safari through his agency, his attitude towards us changed and we kinda felt very uncomfortable. I can understand his disappointment but his prices were out of our budget and we found somebody cheaper. For some reason he took the air conditioning remote and then television remote out of our room and told us a story of local tourist stealing his remotes. We had a few more uncomfortable confrontations with him. Just too much drama for 2 nights in a guest house.

The rooms are really nice and the restaurant is amazing. It's just unfortunate that the behavior of the owner left a bad taste...

Best place to have breakfast in entire Jaisalmer. Tasty, properly cooked as it should be. Food portions were also large. Caretaker JK was very informative and took active interest in knowing his visitors. Offered Tea for free as Welcome goodwill gesture but we insisted and paid for it. Separate menu for Korean visitors as this is a preferred destination amongst Korean tourists. Views were good on roof restaurant but didn't click a pic as I was both handfuls - viewing Korean menucard using left hand and eating Indian food with right hand 😆 This was one place in entire Jaisalmer where I felt TripAdvisor were not Fake. Otherwise always felt like TripAdvisor guys ate free food everywhere and distributed their certificates and banners in return to everyone. I wish all the best to this restaurant to maintain this quality...
