I recently visited the Haldiram’s outlet in Rajouri Garden, and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. If you're a fan of authentic Indian snacks, hearty North Indian meals, and an all-around hygienic, family-friendly dining environment, this outlet is a must-visit.
Ambiance: The outlet is spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Whether you're coming in with family, friends, or just for a solo bite, the seating is comfortable and the overall vibe is vibrant but not chaotic. The interiors are modern yet rooted in tradition – exactly what you’d expect from a trusted Indian food brand like Haldiram’s. Even during peak hours, the staff manages the crowd efficiently and ensures tables are cleaned promptly for the next set of diners.
Service: The service was quick, courteous, and professional. The staff at the counter were friendly and helped us navigate the menu when we were confused about portion sizes. The food arrived quickly despite the weekend rush, and everything was served hot and fresh. They also ensure proper sanitization, and I noticed regular cleaning which adds a big plus to their already great customer care.
Food: This is where Haldiram's truly shines. We ordered a mix of snacks and full meals:
The Raj Kachori was bursting with flavors – crunchy, tangy, spicy, and sweet all at once. The Chole Bhature was excellent – fluffy bhaturas with rich, well-spiced chole that hit the right spot. The Paneer Thali was generous, well-balanced, and delicious. The paneer was soft, and the gravy had that perfect homemade taste. For dessert, we had the Rasmalai and Gulab Jamun, both of which were fresh and melt-in-the-mouth delicious.
We also tried some of their packaged snacks and sweets to take home. Their namkeens are always a hit and keep well for days without losing freshness.
Value for Money: For the quality of food, cleanliness, and overall experience, the pricing is very reasonable. You get premium taste, hygiene, and hospitality without burning a hole in your pocket.
Final Thoughts: Haldiram’s Rajouri Garden outlet does complete justice to the brand’s reputation. It delivers consistently excellent food in a clean and comfortable setting. Whether you're in the mood for a quick snack, a full meal, or just want to indulge in some desi mithai, this place ticks all the boxes. I’ll definitely be returning soon – and recommending it to all my...
Read moreI recently visited Haldiram’s outlet in Rajouri Garden (Punjabi Bagh area), and while the food quality remained consistent with the brand’s reputation, the overall experience left much to be desired — particularly in terms of customer service and staff orientation.
The biggest issue is the lack of table service. Even if you’re seated, there is no support staff to take your order or assist in serving. You must first go to the counter, place your order, collect a token, and then wait for your number to be called – similar to a self-service model. This can be inconvenient, especially for families or senior citizens.
We ordered chole bhature, rice, sweets, and buttermilk, expecting the meal to be served in a logical sequence. However, the dishes came out in a completely disorganized manner. Sweets and rice were served first, followed by chole bhature later. When we politely requested the staff to hold the rice and serve it later with the rest of the meal, the serving staff (a young girl) bluntly said, “Once it comes out of the kitchen, it cannot be taken back.” This was surprising and disappointing, especially considering it was a dine-in experience.
It appears that staff are more aligned with internal procedures than with customer experience, which goes against the basic principle of hospitality – customer centricity. There seems to be a disconnect between kitchen operations and floor service, and staff lack the flexibility or training to accommodate even reasonable requests.
Haldiram’s has built its brand on trust, taste, and tradition, but to maintain this reputation, the focus must shift from rigid internal policies to enhancing customer experience. A little empathy and better coordination would go a long way in improving the dine-in experience.
Pros: • Food is still tasty and of good quality • Clean environment and decent seating
Cons: • No personalized service, even when seated • Staff untrained in handling dine-in customers’ needs • Poor coordination in serving orders • Rigid kitchen policies that don’t favor customer comfort
Verdict: Great food, but disappointing service. If you’re okay with a pure self-service model and no flexibility, you may enjoy the food. But for those expecting a restaurant-like experience with proper attention, this may not be the...
Read morePathetic, horrible and worthless. Went here yesterday and it was such a horrible experience. Seriously total waste of money. No coordination between staff, full of chaos, either the staff is underpaid or they are not willing to work. Above all zero taste.
It was 7ish in the evening and they don't even have soft drinks in their inventory (Like Limca, Sprite or 7Up). All they had was Coke. I wanted to ordered the normal thali but they didn't had the items for the normal thali finally ended up ordering Special thali.
As i was with family and around 0730 i went to the counter and wanted to order Chole bhature, dosa and idli but i was surprised they didn't had the item's, like seriously 0730 and no such items which are most sellable items in a place like Haldirams.
While eating thali which was almost finish (to be honest) i noticed a small hair in my sabzi, i called up the supervisor name Aamir/Amir and you won't believe what he said, according to him i have consumed my thali, like what i am supposed to do? Do they want us to dig down our thali and check it first? Sorry I'm not that type of customer which looks for such cheap tricks.
Our last order was again a special thali and i specifically told the guy at order counter name Keshav that i want 3 lacha parnathas which hr acknowledged and after sometime the other staff was telling me to give the instructions in advance, i was like what the hell is happening here. I saw that guy at tandoor was arguing with his colleagues (maybe some internal staff issues) he literally told the other guys that he don't want to make lacha parantha (his actions were clearly visible). Then i told them i specifically gave instructions well in advance. Finallly with alot of convincing they gave me paranthas.
Lastly the food was tasteless.
Seriously guys i don't have anything personal with this outlet but avoid this place especially in evening atleast. Bikanerwala is much better than this...
