Biryani By Kilo - Siliguri — Restaurant in Siliguri

It was new year eve and after completing a tiring downhill journey we wanted to have something tasty but not too unhealthy so we chose this place. A perfect balance between taste and less unhealthy.

We ordered

Veg Galouti Kebab (6pcs) served with ulta tawa paratha - The kebabs are very soft, made with mashed vegetables and other stuffings. It will just melt in your mouth. A must order item.

Hyderabadi Veg Biryani - Its our all time favourite after trying all other veg varieties like paneer, chole, etc. The biryani is cooked fresh in a clay pot and served in the same pot. The marination of the vegetables grant its true taste. The rice grains are also long and perfectly cooked - not less not more. The biryani is served with either salan or raita as per your choice. We chose salan. Its a kind of masala curry to add little more flavour and erasing dryness of rice while chewing.

We got to speak with the manager Mr. Amit who was very positive while receiving our negative reviews of

Salan having too much oil to which he stated its rogan added to garnish the salan. Now we know what to instruct before ordering salan.

Veg single serve biryani always out of stock on swiggy/zomato while non veg single serve are always available. To which he stated that he will look into it.

He also told us that a new soya chap biryani has been launched recently. The biryani contains rice, soya chaap & few aloo pieces.

I wish they introduce an option to add vegetables as add-on while ordering on swiggy. Veg biryani with soya chaap is the best meal for sunday brunch isnt it ?

He also provided us complimentary getaway kulfis. Its less sweet and made with good quality ingredients. The malai flavour is better than almond one.

Overall, an amazing experience for New Year Eve.

I want to share this to owner or respective person who are direct deal with restaurant issues. Really it's matter of brand name!!!!!!

As me and my 7 yrs daughter are plan to have biryani from ur restaurant. I was personally excited to have it.. As it was very near to my workplace nd home. U can't believe we reached there around 2:37pm and order for the biryani...waiter request me it will take half an hour to serve. As we discussed and placed order. Same time two another person reached there and place order and another waiter again told the same half an hour story. To hear this, respective customer asking for any authorised person no. Or customer care complain no. I was shocked that within 5 minutes they serve them starter, drink and biryani.... Back to back...!!!!! They finish there meal and pay the bill... And went. Where as I was requested to them again and again that when we get the order.. the waiter was only telling that it was preparing.. the time was now 3:20pm... We are still waiting for biryani. .. how this esteem chain organization take around one hour to serve there customer.

What is the policy to get order in limited time. If a order take one hour time... Why PPL come to u.. I was very much excited for very first time experience but now this would be last time.. Food quality and quantity is not so good..!!!! Need improve......

Me and my husband we are biryani lovers,and we love biryani by kilo. We live in south delhi. Even in our anniversary we went to biryani by kilo to celebrate. We absolutely love their biryanis. One of our recent favourite is hyderabadi mutton dum biryani. So I recently came to visit my mother in siliguri and I noticed that biryani by kilo has launched a store in siliguri. I wanted my mom to try these amazing biryanis. So I ordered one egg dum biryani and one hyderabadi mutton dum biryani.Its very dissapointing to write my experience: Mutton pieces were hard, not at all tender.(made a video and sent it to their customer care) Both the biryanis tasted almost same. All the mutton pieces were mainly bones. Overall I'm very disappointed, we both dint like it and im not going to order again from the siliguri centre.

Their customer service is good. After watching my review they called me to take feedback and sent me one complimentary hyderabadi dum biryani. But same problem was there. So i will suggest you not to order hyderabadi mutton biryani from biryani by kilo siliguri. Egg biryani was average. dont know about...
