Let's not mince words: Absolute Barbecue Porur isn't just bad, it's a culinary crime scene. My recent visit wasn't merely disappointing; it was an active assault on my taste buds and my patience.

First, the food. The fried corn was less a side dish and more a sodium-delivery system, clearly designed for someone whose palate has been surgically removed. As for the rest of the "barbecue" items, they were so "less fried" they practically whispered "raw." I'm genuinely impressed by their ability to make food both utterly bland and offensively salty simultaneously. It's a skill, I suppose, but not one to be celebrated.

But the true spectacle of incompetence unfolded with their so-called "service." Asking for a repeat of an item felt like demanding the manager's firstborn – a request met with utter, contemptuous disregard. The very concept of "all you can eat" seems to be a cruel joke at AB's expense. And when I dared to offer the slightest bit of constructive feedback, I was met by a "short guy" whose attitude was taller than he was. His sneering, "thank you" was a masterclass in passive-aggressive insolence, making it clear that customer satisfaction ranks somewhere below lint in his priority list.

One of the best and consistent restaurant in the city. Location and parking: This restaurant is located slightly off mount poonamalee high road opp Saravana stores. The street is narrow but the building has enough space for parking around 15 cars. Beyond that, the valet will park in the narrow street. Food: Their variety of dishes is the most elaborate one and has all items covered. Their starters are overwhelming and are of great taste. Chicken, fish, prawn etc. only thing missing is the lack of options in mutton. Their main course also has a wide variety of items. Especially biryani is good. And lots of options in veg both starters and main course. They will customise the spice and flavours levels if you ask them. They also serve a lot of desserts which you might not be able to eat after loading up on starters and main course 😀 Service: Service is the primary factor that makes me choose this place over other buffet places in Chennai. All their outlets have the same type of service with staff showing utmost care and attention. Facilities: They don't have any kids play area and also there is no proper waiting area. People have to stand on the stairs or the parking lot which sometimes spoils the experience. Also, their restrooms are not well maintained. One of the worst experience ever. Had booked a 11:30 AM slot on Jan 1st and I arrived at the help desk at 11:45 and while addressing itself they cancelled my booking. Later I got a table. They served burnt meat and undercooked chicken and prawn at the table despite telling them thrice. When questioned about it, the waiter was rude and sarcastic and hardly attended to our table after that. Nobody is eating free of cost at your restaurant for such pathetic service. To my shock at the end of all the commotion, the barbecue grill was not even hot. I touched the coal inside the grill box and asked them for an explanation. The main course was below average. The plates and bowls dirty and broken and dusted. The ice cream served had hair in it. Wow! What a wonderful dining on a new year for being charged 850 plus taxes for a meal! You better maintain your standards than take your customers for granted and a waiter who sings cat calls to women customers! Maybe he was taking it out on us for being questioned.
