I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the experience I had at your Chennai Thailavaram (Pothiri) branch. I recently purchased a mini bucket chicken biryani for ₹1500, expecting the quality and service that Star Biryani is known for. However, upon opening the package, I was shocked to find two leg pieces with only bones and no meat.

I immediately visited the branch and spoke with the Branch Manager, hoping for a resolution. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, he outright denied my complaint and insinuated that I had already eaten the meat and was falsely raising an issue. This was highly unprofessional and unacceptable. Furthermore, my calls to the branch went unanswered, displaying a complete lack of customer service.

As a loyal customer, I feel cheated and misled. It is unacceptable for a reputed brand like Star Biryani to deliver substandard food and then refuse to take responsibility. If this matter is not addressed, I will be forced to escalate the issue further, including taking it to social media and consumer forums.

I request a prompt resolution—whether it be a refund or replacement of the order—along with a formal apology for the inconvenience caused. I hope you will take this matter seriously and ensure that such incidents do not happen again.

This is the worst place to have biryani. The food had no taste, and it was stale. The chicken was rubbery, hard and inedible. I will never go to this place again. The toilet was stinking. If you want to waste your money, only then should you go here. I paid 900+ for low quality , stale food and regret visiting this place.

I have visited STAR Ambur Biryani multiple times in Bangalore and Chennai, and the quality of food at other outlets is top-class. However, this specific outlet is damaging your brand value. You should focus on fixing the low-quality issues at this location instead of making sarcastic comments about customers finding fault with everything. Why would a customer waste their time writing lengthy reviews if not to provide genuine feedback? Instead of taking the feedback seriously, I am appalled by your sarcastic comments.

Long Story Short: Don't go to Star Briyani Potheri - Worst Taste....

Recently dined at Star Biryani Hotel and had a mostly decent experience. The veg dishes were a highlight—Paneer 65 and Paneer Fried Rice were both tasty, with a generous amount of paneer. Veg starters were also quite good. Non-veg starters offered a nice variety, especially the Chettinad options, which were authentic and flavorful.

The Seeraga Samba Mutton Biryani stood out as excellent, and the mutton dishes were well-prepared and delicious. Once the mutton came out not so good but they changed and deliverer great! Some of the chicken starters were also enjoyable, though a few items could use a bit more flavor.
