Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Thought it was a good hotel but it was very average.Got a Chicken biriyani for 250 which was not worth for that cost and a prawn pepper fry for 250 rupees which was not at all fair both quality and quantity was below average.Got it in a small plastic box.many suggested that hotel but it is below average I didn't dine in I got parcel... Biryani was nice but not worth for 250 rupees and I request there team to Imporove quality of prawn pepper fry and also increase its quantityThis place has some amazing desi food options. Large portion sizes at a reasonable price. They have abundant indoor and outdoor space for large families or parties. Anna Nagar is a foodies paradise. Especially Indian cuisine and specially South Indian. Anjappar opened its doors sometime back and seem to be doing well initally but it's inital shine is a little dull now a days. The food here is excellent especially the Non Vegetarian meals v(rice. Fish, mutton and chicken gravy, rasam, poriyals or 2 types, kootu, applam, pickles, buttermilk and sweet. Balance of the spice in all the gravies where so fantastic that I could finish the whole portion of rice which is actually enough for two light eaters. The dish does not have visual appeal but the taste was superb. The chicken fry was another great dish. Not too spicy but balanced. Worth trying this place if you like Chettinad cuisine. The service, the ambience, air-conditioning and pricing was very good. No complaints so far but the management must show initiatives to improve the place, service and ambience...

Worst ever experience in Anjappar restaurant ...

Am great of Anjappar recipes, especially non-vegetarian Biryanis and favourite chicken pakoda (best of the pakadas i ate) , but my latest visit spoilt all the reputation I had with Anjappar.

Poor management at this site, poor response in terms of hospitality, poor quality in terms of taste ...

Example - they took 20 mins to inform us that biriyani is over Chicken pepper masala was served first and waiting for its pair butter naan for almost 15 mins They just kept alternate cool drinks for goli soda , and walked away without even informing us Serving manager said it's all usual in terms of service - one of the strangest and unacceptable...
