Edit- Feb 2021- Review of second visit- Excellent service by Mr.Mohan who attended our table. Taste of dishes were excellent and Street Food festival added additional items to the menu. Overall a very satisfying visit.
Review of first visit- We were the first to be seated for the 12 noon sitting. We knew being first might take some time to settle in so we waited and got seated around 12.15. We got a good table closer to the desserts station. Our vegetarian starters were served first within 5 minutes of our seating. Pineapple and panneer were served first. It wasnt cooked much and we had some raw flavour. We waited for few minutes to grill in the table and then had them. The rawness was still there. Maybe we being first seated, they wanted us to not wait for much long and so had to rush with this not so greatly grilled pineapple and paneer. The second batch of pineapple and paneer were better cooked before it reached our grilling station though. So i guess it was the time crunch which got better of them in the first round. The vegetable kebab was well cooked. The Cajun spiced potato wasnt much creamy and had more raw onions on it. Seeing our reactions, the manager stopped by to check on us and we told him about the taste of cajun spiced potato not being upto their standards. He said it varies with their locations but we said we had tasted in multiple locations but the taste here was not upto the mark. After some time he stopped by with freshly cooked batch of cajun spiced potato and this time it was well done and much creamier, although the raw onions were still on the higher side. We left the feedback on this to not change their signature dishes' flavours or taste since we know it well and we were missing the after taste and creaminess on it. They also served us fried corn which was good and we were done with the starters and moved on to main course. They also had a chat station with pani poori counter. The main course vegetarian options were adequate and no complaints. Desserts section had kulfi counter with 6 options to choose from out of which paan kulfi was very good. Lot of pastries were available along with kesar shrikant, jilebi, brownies, angur jamoon and payasam. Overall it was a good experience but little short of being a memorable one due to our disagreement on cajun spiced potato flavour. We will try to visit again but plan to get seated around 12.30 atleast to ensure we get better cooked starters and not rushed ones. Thanks to the manager and his team patiently listening to our feedback and trying to accomodate...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday, we had dinner at Barbeque Nation, Fun Republic Mall. Yes, we took the necessary precautions, wore masks all the time except to eat, and actively sanitized. The outlet mirrored our actions in that they sanitized and cleaned the table twice after each customer seating, left one table space in between, and the staff all had masks on as necessary. And hairnets.
The starters were freshly made and grilled in front of us and were actually hot despite the late slot, unlike the branch of Barbeque Nation we had previously attended. Our table staff (I believe he was named Mr Bulu Pathan? Hopefully this is the correct spelling, I apologize if it isn't) was very courteous and explanatory, and the seating host also asked us about our food allergies and if we had been here before. Even the front desk staff was accommodating when we had to transfer a mistakenly created booking from one branch to the other.
The starters were quite diverse, and I especially liked the Cajun potatoes, the crispy corn, the veg cutlet, the chicken, the prawn(with a charry end) and the tandoori chicken leg that showed up. We were also treated to an option from the chaat counter : honey chilli pineapple. Sweet at first, but then the heat creeps up on you. The mint chutney provided at the table was a cool respite that cut through the spice that prevailed in many of the dishes. If I were to specifically not recommend a particular starter, it might have been the fish, but that's my personal preference. Some of my family members downed it quite easily.
Being people of very small and quickly sated appetite, we could not try any main courses but there was a small variety of curries and breads. Also a salad station existed, from where I snagged some carrots.
The desserts were quite nice too. I liked the brownie, the phirnee and the kulfi. They have six varieties of kulfi with toppings where I tried the malai one. There's a paan variety, a kesar pista variety and a chocolate variety if you're interested. There's also some fresh fruit.
Overall, a very pleasant experience. Would visit this branch...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk , To start the review with some positive vibe , let me clearly tell you that the price is worth very penny you pay . The food taste was superb(not every item btw) , Starting from starters, Also i am non vegetarian, so don't ask me about veg , in starters they will first give you some fruits and veg , they are good but don't eat them to make most of your money. Directly dig into chicken and prawns . Fish was average but chicken and prawn barbecue was out of the world . Ask them how many times you want , they will bring with smile . Also after you had enough starters, (we ate starters for 2 hours ), in main course don't touch many items but a few i would suggest is, butter naan with mutton gravy , chicken dosa , chilly chicken, crispy chicken and thats it . Then coming to main course start with brownie along with vanilla and then first try each and every desert and in next round eat only that you liked as many as you want bcoz thats where you have to make justice for money , try all flavours of kulfi , gulab jamun was good . My main tip was eat plain watermelon once every 30 min(I don't know why but it helped us ) . We had some issue with the app login so we got a complimentary coke even in Sunday . If you are a new user book from app you will get ā¹100 discount and if you book at 1 pm be there before 1 15 or your booking will be cancelled and smiles will be refunded lately . Any more doubts will be encouraged and i am ready to answer , Lastly it is worth everything.š I forgot to tell that panipuri was so good and the hospitality from staff was the best you...
