The ambience for dinner felt soothing and unwinding. I wouldn't prefer this place for lunch since it can feel too bright and not as tranquil as it was for dinner.
We ordered Mei Goreng, Chicken Katsu Ramen, Chilli Pork and a Momo Platter.
The ramen was good and it was served with a split hard boiled egg and two small sized batter fried chicken breasts, which i believe is what katsu chicken means. The broth was spicy(not that much) and the warmth of it made the eating experience feel good on the mouth. I would give it a 👍🏻 and it definitely was two person portion for us.
Mei Goreng was spicy to begin with and I felt that it lacked any flavour apart from the spiciness. But as any regular Indian would do, I mixed some ketchup with it and it instantaneously felt better. I would give thumbs up for this too as the noodles were good and the fried panner bars served with them tasted so soft and creamy. If you get a non vegetarian option then it would be chicken instead of the paneer. It too definitely is a two person portion.
Chilli Pork was well fried and tasted good too. You should know that since it is a mixed piece dish there will be a mix of both meaty and fatty pieces. It definitely is a two or three person portion.
We requested them for a mix of veg and non veg momos since nothing of that sort was available on the menu and they offered us the same in one of their combos which was welcoming. It came as an 8 piece combo with 4 varieties. The Paneer and Veg momos were fresh and good. The prawn momos were juicy and the kemche chicken momo was good too. These freshly made momos tasted good and had comparatively more fillings than the frozen ones served elsewhere.
Lastly, we finished things off with mochi ice cream from their japanese street food menu. It was good. Just allow it to get thawed for a few minutes before you pop it in your mouth as that would allow the mochi to soften. It sure was not worth the price but nevertheless a delicacy to try if you haven't already had it elsewhere.
There is plenty of parking inside and I felt that the servicing time was quick, but there could be a tolerable delay if the...
Read moreWe are frequent visitors of their other branch (Ninhao), for a change we visited here this time. But was not impressed with their food and service. Especially when it comes to their Naso Goreng, which was TOO SPICY, not even able to chew or swallow, when asked they simply stated they didn't mind to check or verify, but just neglected stating it is Spicy that's why they had the HOT symbol in the menu. This is not the first time we are having the dish, we had it umpteenth time in several places. The whole 5 of us including adults and kids mouth was burning and unable to enjoy the dinner that night. No other food's taste was identifiable due to the whole mouth burning hot after Nasi Goreng, if Spice Level of people tolerance is 10, then the dish's spice level would be a 20 in this place. Unsure if it was only that particular day (ifbso they should have took it back and replaced it) or always that way.
There was also a conflict of payment mode (EazyDiner) which none of them were acknowledging, but post raising a concern and connected with EazyDiner representative the issue was resolved. We received the Discount, but unable to pay thru EazyDiner and just had to pay thru regular UPI mode.
The starter we had was Spring roll and peppered mushroom kind of dish (forgot the name), both were...
Read moreYour regular Chinese restaurant, and stands out only because in the curry leaf and saapat land called Coimbatore (capital of Kongu Nadu), real Chinese eating options are so few and far between (real = no curry leaf in chowmin and fried rice, and pork being on the menu). Visit only when you want a change of scene from Peking, not because you are seeking out that one exceptional Chinese restaurant that you will remember till your dying day. The food is decent, the menu is sufficiently long as any Chinese restaurant menu should be, and the Nepali staff will make you feel homely. Bonus, they have actual green chilly sauce available on demand, unlike Peking, where the staff look at you weird if you ask for the stuff. And yes, Bonus2 where it scores BIG over Peking again...they have real disposable chopsticks in adequate numbers (Peking has two pairs of chopsticks in reserve for special occasions and cranky guests like me, and if three of you go out there to dine, one amongst you, by draw of chopsticks 🥢, will have to eat...
