This iconic restaurant, serving since 1976, has recently shifted from South Main Street to a new location near Sivaganga Park—but it has carried its legacy with pride. One of the first things you’ll notice at the entrance is the traditional coffee grinding machine, still running strong! They roast and grind their own coffee beans on-site, which adds a special touch and truly elevates their coffee game.
The new space is a blend of old charm and comfort. The high ceilings, ample natural light, and spacious layout give it a relaxed and airy feel. Even during peak lunch hours, it was pleasantly cool and welcoming.
We tried the sambar rice and curd rice. The sambar rice was flavorful, packed with a generous mix of vegetables, and topped with a drizzle of ghee—comfort food at its best. The curd rice was refreshing, perfectly seasoned with chopped ginger and coriander leaves.
