Copper Kitchen is one of those few restaurants in chennai that are on my frequent visiting list and this outlet of kotturpuram is one of their latest ones...Situated right opposite to Anna Centenary Library and is quite hard to miss..Parking is limited and i guess they do have valet for cars but bikes need to suffice with roadside parking..Copper Kitchen is mostly familiar for arabian food but actually their USP are the south indian items..
The Service is decent with captains or mangers being quite efficient with kind and polite attitude..However the servers need a bit of training..
Given Below are the list of items we tried and my take on them..
Madurai Uppu Kari (rs325) : A famous dish from Madurai and a part of the chettinad cuisine was beautifully incorporated here..Though less use of spices this was a blast of taste and flavors..Salted mutton was wonderfully sauteed with garlic and onions..Meat was so juicy and succulent..Must try item..
Noorani Chicken Tikka (rs305) : This is a stuffed chicken tikka..The meat was so soft and tender and had a filling which is a secret but IMO it consisted of herbs along with minced meat and butter..perfectly cooked in a tandoor and topped with some cheese..Loved it..
Tandoori Fish : This is priced as per the size of the fish with options to choose from red snapper or pomfret and also can be marinated with either red, white or green masala..We ordered a Red marinate Red Snapper..The Fish was really well cooked to an extent that it was easy to remove from the bones..The Tandoori red marinade was really well done with flavors well absorbed..
Tandoori Prawn (rs495) : Another good dish which consists of 10 pieces of small prawns(5 if tiger prawns)..The Prawns were fresh and well marinated and cooked..Spicy and lip-smackingly good..
Corn Tartlets (rs200) : Corn cooked with spices served in rice cup of sorts..The Filling was spicy and the taste was tangy and really good..The crispy rice cups provided the needed crispness...
Non - Veg Tandoori Platter : A platter consisting of many varieties of tandoori grilled meat in one plate..Consisting of 3 types of of tikka kebabs like Hariyali, malai and normal chicken tikka, Tandoori chiken, Sheek kebab Prawns etc..Each and every item in the platter had a distinct taste and was well cooked..Must try if you are 4-5+ ppl...
Chettinad Kari Virundhu : A platter of sorts for 2 ppl..Starts of with 2 helpings of soup of the day..Ours was a Mutton Nenjuelumbu soup which was spicy and really good..Followed by flavored rice topped with goat shoulder cooked in chettinad gravy and served with couple of naans..The Taste of the rice and gravy itself was good but sadly the meat hadn't seeped in the flavors and was quite bland inside..
Kozi Dejaj (rs265) : One thing these ppl are constant is the consitency and distinct taste of arabian rices..The Perfectly charcoal grilled chicken topped on a flavorful rice along with loads of cashews is a must try here...served with spicy sauce and veggies..Must try for sure...
Kizhi Paratha (rs190) : This is turning out to be my favorite item..Basically couple of parottas topped with loads of gravy and a few fried chicken pieces..Later wrapped in a banana leaf and steamed...The cooking in a banana leaf makes the paratha to soak in the flavors well...The looks are quite welcoming too and dish i would recommend time and time again..
Coconut Pudding : A coconut panacotta kind of a dish with subtle taste of the tender coconut..Light on the stomach to finish the meal with..
With a spread which had items one better than the other and many items that i would recommend..Adding it with the trust i have on copper kitchen i must say this will be on my favorite list for sure..The Copper Kitchen Kotturpuram outlet has definitely impressed me for sure..
Must try...

Ramadan Month is always special❤️ Be on fast from morning and break it with people of all cultures in a round table filled with dry fruits to mutton spreading happiness and joy❤️
Each day we order it from different restaurants to complete 30 in a row. And so, we came across copper kitchen. Ordered from here and we totally regret it 😠😠
Let me start with what we ordered!
✓Chicken Tandoori Platter - A mix of varieties of tandoori. ✓Chicken Seekh Kabab - Large
#Food - How was it?
I really appreciate copper kitchen for the taste they offer. The chicken was really soft, tender and juicy enough that totally melted us for it.
Chicken Tandoori Platter was extraordinary, each and every flavour tasted different from each other without compromising the taste. We loved it ❤️❤️❤️
Chicken Seekh Kabab was perfect. Neatly rolled, all in shape, perfectly sized. A best starter from Copper Kitchen I believe. Kudos to this ❤️
I rate 5/5 for the food and the taste they offer❤️
#Service - How was it?
We did not dine in, it was a delivery!
PLEASE! Don't ask me this. I'm totally frustrated with the service, Thier commitment to the customers and, responsibility!
I made a phone order with the store at 5.13pm on 07th Jun 2018. The guy on the other side confirmed the order and he promised it would be delivered in 40minutes exactly.
I waited for 45 minutes and rang them back on 6.10pm and the guy said it's out for delivery and it should be with me in a couple of minutes.
We were rushing out of time as we need to break our fast at 6.34pm and this was our only food on that day.
Again I made them call at 6.20pm asking about my delivery and I got the same response over and over and over😠😠😠
I was totally pissed off! At 6.45pm, a delivery person called me and was asking my address of delivery. GOD!! I gave them the right address and still they dint make a note of it. I had to repeat this.
After numerous calls and bagging them, the delivery person arrived at my place at 7.15pm which is exactly 2 hours and 2 minutes from my time of order where I was promised it would be delivered within 40 minutes.
When I asked the delivery person about the delay, he was so cool showing me off the bill that my order was placed only at 6.20 pm and from there I delivered you in 50 minutes.
I went to the peak of my frustrations and showed him my order and the confirmation message at what time I ordered.
Then the delivery person apologized me and spoke to his manager about this. His manager too called me and apologized and said, the bill is on them and I need not pay.
Still, we werent happy with the service. Copper Kitchen made us to wait for 2hours. It's Thier mistake of not showing ownership on delivery orders.
We did not accept the order and asked him to take it back.
The delivery person was very kind enough and, very much dedicated to his customers, he stood outside of our office till 8.30pm and made us to accept the order just for him.
Though we were informed not to pay, we paid the bill as we did not like it to have it for free which will be a loss to Copper Kitchen.
I rate 1/5 for Thier service. And this 1/5 is also for the guy who stood outside of our office apologizing us and the level of commitment he showed towards his customers.
Overall, I rate 3/5 on average. It's better you dine in rather going...
Read moreWe went as a family(6) for dining on Sunday around 10 PM.Not a single menu seriously made us happy except the prawn fried rice. Didnt go well: For Starters, the arrow chicken was little decent but really didnt stand to our expectation, but the dynamite shrimp(over saucy), the kodi veppudu (this wasnt spicy nd in andhra style at all..its simply the chilly chicken we get in fast foods and honestly made us feel chicken wasnt fresh) and the charcoal barbeque again a disappt. The taste wasnt good. Also for the main course we got some butter naan and mutton chettinad gravy. The naan was very dry and I accept the mutton gravy was nice but the pieces didnt taste good at all..literally got a feel like they just put the briyani pieces into the gravy and gave a mix. I say this bcz thats how the mutton pieces taste was. Also the quantity was very less..jus got 4 small pieces for Rs.420. Lastly the falooda ..the taste was decent but it was more like a fruit salad with ice cream.
Made us happy: When I brief about the dislikes, I must also need to grateful about their other services. Starting with valet parking , ambience , services and w.r.t food, the chicken sheek roll , tender coconut pudding and prawn fried rice was really good.
We actually spent 4.5k but this didnt give a feel as worth for money is wat I wud say Also little disappointed for not having lot prawn varieties like other...
