5/5 stars for Nizhal trust initiative to install and maintain native plants and bilingual (English and Tamil) boards telling native and scientific names. This park succeeds as a home for native flora and fauna, and as educational and recreational resource for the entire community.
It is open to the public at selected hours. Many people come for walks there. Many benches are placed along the walkways for rest. There are restrooms at the end of the park.
The only drawback, in my opinion, is the absence of CCTV. A CCTV at the entrance, facing inwards, OR, multiple CCTVs at strategic locations would be beneficial for...
Read moreKottupuram Tree Park is an excellent place to visit for all ages. With over 600 hundred trees from 100 different species, you can see many varieties which you might have only heard about. The space is maintained by Nizhal an NGO which has been working tirelessly for more than a decade to keep this place in shape. It is easy to see the passion and love of nature from the clean and well maintained look of the park.
