A Reality Check for Dindigul Thalapakatti at Palani :
I walked with a 12 memeber family into Dindigul Thalapakatti restaurant at palani with high expectations. What I got instead was a frustrating mix of chaos, carelessness, and sheer lack of professionalism.
Order Mix-ups We were waited to receive Starters after we finished the main course — unacceptable. Few items they confirmed later informing that has to come from Dindigul and will take 30 mins. ordered Parotta , it came after 20 mins of main course served for others and 2 members have to wait their food. Order was mixed up and later they informed it was not available. Again missed the order to confirm with kitchen and later they told it was not communicated to them.- Pathetic Ordered Mutton Kuska but were served Chicken Kuska, Not a big ask, yet they failed.
🍽️ Food Quality Issues The Kuruma for parotta was spoiled, and far from enjoyable. When complained, they mentioned it was Good. When we raised the issue, the manager awkwardly informing this is the same kuruma he served to everyone and no one complained. It wasn’t just unprofessional, it was downright bizarre.
🙄 Unresponsive & Disrespectful Staff The cashier’s response to our feedback? A dismissive nod. No apology. No concern. Just indifference. Throughout, the staff came across as poorly trained and disinterested in basic hospitality.
For a place that markets Legendary Food - delivered nothing but disappointment. The experience was a mess, the attitude appalling, and the standards alarmingly low.
Recommendation: Avoid until serious improvements are made in service, food, and staff behavior. Your time and money...
Read moreThis was my second visit here. Apart from having a good brand name every thing about service is very bad. No one seems to be interested in working properly it seems. A lady was waiting us initially and wasn't giving the menu and trying to insist us to buy some combo. I asked her for menu 3 times. My mother ordered for a veg fried rice and it was just the fried rice and no veg. (Call it no-veg fried rice lol) Seemed like the guys in the kitchen were a bit lazy to cut down the vegetables. Plus there is a tv screen that shows how the veg fried rice is made which has a lot of vegetables in it. We ordered a lime soda with salt and sweet which has a lot of dust particles in it. I am not sure if the glass was properly washed or not. I am a person who comes palani every 2 months and I will not choose this restaurant again. Such a shame for a brand to keep these sort...
Read moreToday, I visited Dindigul Thalappakkatti during a one-day road trip from Kerala, hoping to enjoy their renowned biriyani and sarbath. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Despite placing our order at 1:40 pm, the food took an unusually long time to arrive, and by 2:30 pm, all other tables had been served except ours.
The prolonged wait left us frustrated, forcing us to abandon our plans and leave the restaurant after wasting an hour. This unexpected delay significantly impacted our one-day road trip and left a bitter taste in our mouths, both literally and figuratively.
While I had high expectations based on the restaurant's reputation, the service we received fell short, and the lack of timely attention to our order marred what could have been a delightful dining experience. I hope the management takes this feedback constructively to improve...
