Subject: Absolutely Disappointing and Unsafe Experience – Dindigul Thalappakatti (Nagercoil Branch) Address: 14A, Kottar-Parvathipuram Rd, Simon Nagar, Ramavarmapuram, Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu 629001
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to express my absolute disappointment and disgust at the appalling service I received from your Nagercoil branch. What was supposed to be a simple meal turned into an outrageous experience due to sheer negligence and lack of basic food safety practices from your staff.
Pathetic Packing Quality The packing team needs urgent retraining or replacement. The food was packed so carelessly that it looked like it was thrown together in a hurry. Zero hygiene, no attention to sealing or presentation. It’s a disgrace for a reputed brand like yours.
Supervisory Negligence by Mr. Daniel The branch supervisor, Mr. Daniel, appears to have absolutely no control over the operations. Either he is grossly incompetent or entirely indifferent. Both are unacceptable. He failed in maintaining even the most basic standards of supervision.
Inexcusable Contamination of Food To make matters worse, my Mutton Biriyani was wrapped or stored along with Tamil newspaper that had its ink literally spread across the food. This is not just unhygienic – it is a serious health hazard. Newsprint ink contains toxic chemicals and should NEVER come in contact with edible items. How can such a gross mistake even happen in a restaurant that claims any standard of quality?
This is not just a matter of bad service – this is pure irresponsibility and negligence that could endanger customer health. The incident has left a very bad impression and has completely destroyed my trust in your brand.
I demand a formal explanation, an apology, and immediate action to ensure this kind of carelessness doesn’t continue. If I don’t receive a satisfactory response, I will not hesitate to report this to the local food safety authorities and highlight this experience on public...
Read moreAs attached, i have ordered the items from Dindugal Thalappakatti Nagercoil via Zomato.
I explicitly mentioned a note on less quantity in parcels.
Issue 1. Very less quality of Biriyani for 326 Rs Issue 2. Barbeque chicken sides (2 kuboos, red chutney, Garlic Mayo, Hummus, Salad) missing
Now talking about delivery, . It took 1 hour 12 min to give the package to Zomato Valet.
Now about quality - Biriyani is ultimate tasty and no issues at all other than quantity but salna missing
Butter chicken Masala is bitter taste, reused old oil and added some old butter i believe. Shawarma cut chicken were used in Butter chicken Masala and not a leg or breast piece. Immediately i thrown away the chicken masala to waste box
Parotta is well cooked and ultimate and served with Salna. But again, Salna is bitter since they might have reused the cooked oil again and again.
Garlic nan - no garlic aroma at all, total waste
Packaging - Best Packaging, no bad about it
Overall i would say i can give negative feedback for this branch. And i request people to have dine in so that you can return dishes immediately if you feel quality issue
Now come to Zomato response on missing items.
When i raised concern about missing sides of Barbeque chicken (2 kuboos, red chutney, Garlic Mayo, Hummus, Salad)
Zomato told restaurant not picking call and they can give 30 rs refund.
My question to Zomato - Will you or Thalappakatti can deliver the items for 30Rs?
Do you really think the missing items are worth only 30 Rs?
Secondly, i planned the Kuboos for my daughter and now she got betrayed, what should i answer to her?
So guys, please try to avoid Zomato or online delivery as much as you can, go directly to hoyel for dine in or inspect the items at hotel before scheduled pick up.
Thanks
Edited:
After 22 days, i got response from Zomato that they are initiating refund of Rs190 for...
Read moreWe went to Dindigul Thalappakatti with the expectation of previous experience from their Chennai branch (the taste was awesome there) . The Nagercoil branch for some reason, I think the management was competing with local shops because the taste in local shop was better. Let me point you what was odd about the Nagercoil branch. I want to reassure you that I am comparing the quality and service with their Chennai branch.
We ordered parotta and it was overcooked, to be precise some part felt more like crunching.
The first butter chicken was very awfully cooked, We raised a complaint and the main server was quick enough to replace it (I do really appreciate the immediate action took by him). But sadly the second one had too much chilly sauce taste than actual butter chicken taste (I completely felt some North Indian was the chef here) and I dont know why the chef had to throw in too much pieces of uncooked garlic !
The waiting time for the second set of parotta was too long almost 30 mins, there was some serious miscommunication within the servers here.
There was no menu card provided, Come on even local shops are providing menu card these days.
Except the main severs all the rest was North Indians. Though I have nothing against them. There was serious problem with communicating with them. I took long time to understand what he was asking. I mean being a Tamil brand and situated in a Tamil region serving almost Tamil customers, It would have really improved the customer experience if the people who worked are Tamil, the lag in communication will be lessened here.
For this quality, I completely disagree the price range for their food. Its completely understandable about the price if they are providing the same quality as their Chennai branch.
At the end of the day, I felt more like I should have had my dinner...
