Sri Gowri Shankar | Veg Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Sri Gowri Shankar still thrives of the legacy name they have as a good vegetarian restaurant. It still continues have patronage from the locals despite poor service and atmosphere.

Food is generally good to okayish. We tried a variety of items like Masala Dosa, Idli, Parotta, Chola Poori, etc. The Chola Poori was badly prepared & served, when we complained they changed it without batting an eye-lid but would have preferred the corrected that before serving & letting us complain.

Their staff is good but not pleasant. The shop could do better in their ambience.

They resist to accept digital payment by making all sorts of excuses. On the day I went they maintained that their POS had tower issues (cannot believe that they can make this claim in such a location) and didn't even try once.

A word of caution - do not go to this place without cash. They will demand cash on most days...

Enjoyed high class Vegetarian dinner here.. Awesome taste.. Dosa items are in best.. Chilli parota was too good.. Sambar, chutneys are tasty.. Medhu Vadai like Caramel.. And Good table service... Hygienic restroom.. Very Important thing is Prize is very low comparing to all other Vegetarian hotels in Nagercoil...

And Only one negative "Menu card is not available here", So the Servers are recommending limited no of menus.. But still there are lot of menus are available inside.. So We have to ask them whether its available or not.. Then they will say yes it's available.. The way of choosing menu is not fair..

So Dear Management, Please re consider about it and provide menu card for customers..

And overall Highly recommended hotel to have Pure Veg food.. Keep it...

Walking out of the restaurant now. Aftr hvng dinner, when we askd for Card or Gpay, the manager said the server/POS machine not working.& suggested we go to d ATM nearby & draw cash.Whn we askd hw come at this time of digital payment,he is saying so,he very arrogantly askd us,digital payment has been there for 4yrs only,hw did we pay before.I askd for QRcode, he said again arrogantly he won't display it publicly.WTH.This has been d case with Sri Gowri Sankar numerous times.They almost nvr accept digital payment. & the manager who is in d hospitality businesse is most arrogant, disrespectful fellow. Another customer too made d same complaint. Worst behaviour frm dat manager & I'm questioning why the restaurant is avoiding...
