Famous Theory — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Famous theory is always been in my wish list, the main thing which attracted me towards famous theory is the “Name ” Famous theory- Cool name right ?” ” then the ambiance with Wooden roof with wall painting just attracted me.

This place is located right inside CenterPoint – sholinganallur, Been crowed with busy IT peeps, OMR just became best place for restaurants. Even i work near OMR i used to cross this place daily so i thought i have to hit this place somehow, Finally myself N some of my foodie friend planned up and landed here previous Sunday.

Let me share my experience about famous theory.

The moment i entered i just loved the ambiance, they had a wooden roof with antique lights and wall painting. Artificial plants gave me a pleasent feel. They have spent enough for the ambiance just to attarct the crowd.

Coming to the service they greeted me with smiling face and i informed them about the booking for the table for 15, they showed me the table i was quite amazed with the table, they have neatly presented the table with table cloth and spoon, they have even placed the glass up side down since it wasn’t in use. Perfect luxury place to visit near OMR.

I was totally amazed with ambiance and service how about the taste ??

It started with Monsters Shake 😀

Monster Shake Chocolate:

The best nectarous drink i ever taste, its a combination of dark chocolate with ferrero rocher which made it damn chocolaty.

it gave me a heavenly spread feeling till the last sip, its was presented perfectly its was so appealing

Perfect in all its way.

Soup:

Madurai Mutton pepper soup:

” Of soup and Love the first is the best”

” The moment i had the first sip i could easy sense its was damn fiery, pepper just did the right job”, Best madurai soup i ever had, its was so hot and rich they had enough mutton in it, you can have the bite till the last sip.

” Recommend for the people who suffers from cold excellent remedy”

Chikken tikka with Garlic bread:

i was quite surprised with the dish, they have seasoned the garlic bread and topped up with chicken tikka and olives with cheese.

Chicken tikka with garlic bread made it a pack of joy ” have it together in one bite” – ” its surely a One bite wonder”, Chicken and garlic bread was so soft and luscious.

Special Tandoori Chicken:

Chef Shajahan Whole Chicken BBQ:

” Surely a Scrumptious BBQ for sure”

Masala Fried Prawns:

” Highly recommend”

Tired of having fried chicken ?

How about having a fried prawn ? With crunchy N crispy bite ?

Masala Fried Prawn just made my day, its was amazing, its was crunchy N Crisply outside and fluffy and juicy inside. Masala was perfect not too fiery it was mild and flavorful.

Just enjoyed each and every bite. Must try food here.

Chicken Kebab:

They have marinated the chicken properly and perfectly cooked, its was so luscious and juicy just loved each and every bite.

Main Courses :

Chicken Fried Rice:

Been quite disappointed with the biriyani, Chicken rice just gave my life back. Ratio of chicken and rice were perfect. its was like 60:40, just loved their consistency.

Quantity was huge it can serve for two people easily, coming to the taste – Wow.

Rice were perfectly fired and not too greasy, not too dry. its was perfect in all its way. Most of the restaurant serves Fried rice little dry which make us hard to swallow, but i dint find that kind of difficulties while having it here.

Madaras Mutton Curry:

Mutton gravy was so rich and fiery, its went so well with butter royti. mutton was so fresh and tender, They have cooked it properly.

Desserts:

Brownie with Ice Cream:

” Life is like an ice-cream, Enjoy it before it melts”

Feast is not a feast with out the desserts, Coming to the brownie the way they presented just grabbed everyone attention, Vanilla just dulcified the brownie perfect, its was so delicious the texture in the bronie was so perfect. Had a heavenly feeling till the last bite.

We came here because of good reviews that we thought can please our palette. We’re surprised with couple of things: The restaurant manager recommended us to speak with their Chef so he can suggest what other Indian food we can order with less spiciness (which we regretted telling them about the spicy level) you’ll understand why 😬 So we got the Chef - the first thing he told us ‘oh you can’t have Indian food, too spicy’ and so I asked, can you lessen the spicy level and he said, no we can’t 🤨 He recommended us grilled chicken so it won’t be spicy, Murgh Makhani (so we have different style of dish and again less spicy) and lastly, I insisted Tandoori Chicken (Indian Style) with 2 pcs of Paratha We waited for our first dish for about 10mins - Texas Grilled Chicken, we were surprised with the 1st food being served coz its NOT Indian food (it’s western food) and nothing special about this except we know this taste 😔 Our 2nd dish came (which supposedly serve as appetiser) for another 10mins. We’re surprised that they’ve served us not the authentic or Indian Style of Tandoori Chicken 😫 Our 3rd and 4th orders came - Paratha and this Murgh Makhani (no idea what’s that food look and taste like) for maybe another 5mins

Taste - out of 3 dishes, Afghani Tandoori taste okay 👌🏻 but overall not satisfying at all Presentation - i would say, not enticing at all for me to eagerly try it Portion - quite generous Price - can be a bit pricey with quality of food.

If you’re going to visit this place (tourists) - ‘do not ever say or ask them to recommend you non or less spicy food, because you might regret it’. Simply order something you’re familiar with Indian food and take that perhaps the quality can be better (I Guess)

But based on our experience - not satisfied . In spite of them trying to help us getting non spicy food and out of Indian...

Extremely disappointed. Had a bad experience at this place—so poor customer service. After so much hectic work to get some nice food, we went to this place. We first ordered something after 15-20 minutes they replied that the food is not available. Still, we ordered something else again after 20 minutes they’re reaching out with a bowl of noodles without a cutlery set and have not even responded. Even ice cream tastes so bad in taste. Such a big hotel didn’t even have a piece of lemon. At least the food we can bear, but the customer service is so poor. The lady and other staff are not properly responsible. Never had this kind of poor service anywhere. First time felt 700rs gone to...
