Fruit Shop on Greams Road, Kodambakkam — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Another Chennai Icon, known for its fresh juice mocktails, ice cream based fruit shakes, short eats & desserts. Again, visiting them since 2001 when I gained financial freedom, from multiple outlets of them across the city, including this one closest to home. My favourites over the years have remained to be the Jughead’s Special & the lime mint Cooler. Absolute best & never to be missed ever. I can't believe this place is suddenly so run down. It used to be my hangout place. Not only has the quantity considerably reduced, because they now use tiny plastic bottles. My fruit salad with ice cream came in a cheap plastic take away box without the lid. Are you guys really not able to invest in some proper serveware? The fruits were not fresh either. Not that much clearly visible from the road. Lot of options available with them and till now I have tried around some 16 to 20. Everything tastes good and they maintain the quality over time. Good ambience, nice value added news in the walls, The place is kept clean and tidy, order and billing were just from the tablet in the table and it's comfortable to have a look at the various menu. Petices are bit high but worth the taste...
