Located in perungudi the Gaurav vada Pav Center was on my wishlist for a very long time... Though my sister lives nearby i have never got a real chance to visit the place... But last week when i was there to pick my sister i made sure to visit the place.... The reason being the almost authentic vada pavs(as suggested my friends).. Though am a fan of vada pavs i have never had a taste of authentic mumbai vada pavs... And when many claimed this to be authentic i made up my mind to try it for sure...
Service was quick and prompt.. On busy evenings it might take time though
The vada pav was just awesome... Soft fluffy pav coated with chilli paste and pudina paste.... The vada hot and crispy.... Wherever i have had the vada pavs earlier had the soft bonda types... This is the first crispy vada i have had...definitely a must try according to me in chennai..... Priced at 25rs i am sure to try them again when i get a chance....
P.S : The pavs are best had here...the vadas tend to get soft after packing and doesnt give such a good taste as...
Read moreGaurav Vada paw centre is best place to have authentic Vada paw and dhabheli. They have other items including sabudana and bread bhanji paw which is also a Maharashtrian food as the family is Marathi. But their motto is whatever I give it to my customers it should be fresh. I had a long discussion with owner around 9 o clk in the nit and I got to see that they threw the oil which is used for a day. They never keep oil for another day to cook Vada as it's harmful for health. Even they have thrown all the paws which are left for the day as he doesn't want to give a day old paw. Vada paw is the best in Chennai at a low cost which is Rs.15.and all the other item is so delicious that u won't stop urself to try all the items.for me the best is dhabheli and bread bhajji. Guys please try once and u ll get to know what kind of standards they maintain in terms of quality...I'm...

I recommend the butter-roast vada pav over the special vada pav as the cheese in the vada pav should've been shredded instead of directly putting the slice. I wouldn't recommend their Dabeli though, it's taste needs to be reworked, it is too sweet and has sabudana in it. Overall, great find, am definitely going to become a regular there. Try to reach asap, their stock easily gets over by 7:30 pm. Tip: If you are looking for more tang, ask for more chutney and powder separately and mix them :D (and obviously don't forget the pickled...
