Thakkaram Hub — Restaurant in Zone 14 Perungudi

I recently visited Thakkaram Hub in Perungudi. The food was okay—nothing extraordinary, but decent for a casual meal. The billing staff was polite and handled things professionally.

However, the overall experience was disappointing due to the behavior of some other staff. The supplier and cleaning boy showed a lethargic and careless attitude. Most concerning was when the cleaning boy sprayed cleaning liquid and it landed on our hands and body while we were still seated—completely unacceptable and unhygienic.

On top of that, we didn’t receive curry with our meal, and no one bothered to check or follow up, even after we had finished eating. Such negligence is a red flag for any restaurant.

If the staff can't show professionalism, then they should at least be trained properly. Without proper training and guidance, not only will the restaurant's reputation suffer, but these employees may also be spoiling their own future in the hospitality industry.

I hope the management takes these points seriously and makes the necessary...

Visited Thakkaram recently after seeing a lot of influencer videos, but the experience didn’t match the hype. We ordered Thalassery Biryani, Ney Choru, Beef Roast, and Chicken Fry. The beef biryani was good, but Ney Choru was just okay for the price. Chicken fry quantity was too low, and the prices overall felt a bit high.

We were really disappointed that pappadam wasn’t served with Biriyani and Ney Choru. We requested it multiple times, but the staff said it’s not available. For us, pappadam is an emotion – not just a side item.

Service could’ve been better. The staff and manager didn’t seem to be from Kerala, and there was confusion – they served beef curry instead of beef roast at first, but corrected it after we pointed it out. Also, no ice water available even after asking.

Final note: Don’t visit based on influencer reels – the actual experience is quite different. Only the beef biryani was worth it, but go with low...

I had a very bad experience from this place on 27th NOVEMBER, as I ordered it on swiggy. I ordered 500 ml bdf, 250 ml beef roast, 400ml chicken fry and 8 parotta. The poratto was clearly the ready made one, mostly ID ready to cook one. It was not even cooked properly. The beef dry fry was the worst, it was smelling so bad, it was I think fried in the same oil as the fish, tasted stale, the chicken fry was so bad too,it has fried pieces of fat, the beef roast was just decent.

Previously I had ordered from here once and really loved it, but thus time, each time we think of the smell, it makes us nauseous.

The items are not worth the price, 39 rs for one parotta? That too for 10 piece ID company does not cause you that much. Super expensive for...
