Paid this place a couple of visits with the family lately, and while the food’s alright, it’s not quite the authentic Kerala hit I was hoping for—couldn’t really taste the coconut oil, especially in the beef dishes, which was a bit of a let-down. The main gripe, though, is the utter chaos when it comes to service. There’s barely any proper communication between the staff, and with the place being the newest “in” spot, you’re in for a proper wait. We ended up queuing for around 40 minutes just to get in, waited another half hour just to give our order, and then had to twiddle our thumbs for another 30 minutes before any food showed up. If you’re the patient sort, maybe it’s not too bad, but for most, it’s a bit of a faff. What really wound us up was the complete lack of any system to manage who’s next—instead, it’s a free-for-all. Some folks sneak inside and nab tables the moment people get up, while the rest of us who've waited a fair bit out front are left high and dry. Staff don’t seem to have a clue, and you end up feeling a bit daft for waiting your turn. At the moment, the restaurant’s bang on trend, so it’s busy as anything. But unless they sort out how they handle the crowds—maybe with a token system or a bit of order to the queue—it’s only a matter of time before the novelty wears off. Food is decent enough, but pack your patience if you’re...

The kerala part was well evident in pricing rather than taste and masala. Quantity was obviously not from Kerala.
Porotta was good, Puttu missed the soul of greated coconut for 80 rupees per piece. Beef roast scored on taste, order Peri Peri Shawarama to get a normal one ( quantity wise good).
If it's is not crowded with power I would recommend for who would not mind pockets.
And in five years I wanna be a chicken curry at Chettane kada so that 100 ml is 230 Rs.

Read moreVisited Chettante Kada with my colleagues, and it felt like a genuine trip back to Kerala! We ordered porotta, thattu dosha, and the beef roast, and everything was truly authentic. The porotta was incredibly soft—literally as soft as cotton—and perfectly layered. The beef roast was the star; the masala was perfectly Malayali, deep, and incredibly flavourful. Even the complimentary gravy was excellent. The staff were also good and attentive. The only minor issue is the price of the beef roast, which felt a bit overpriced. I'm guessing this might be due to them sourcing genuine ingredients or spices from Kerala, but it's worth noting. If you are looking for authentic, high-quality Kerala cuisine, this is the...
