Gourmet Bakes Sweets Cafe — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Seeing a huge food joint in a place like this astonished me. I thought of trying something from there. So I had Hazelnut Cold Coffee, Chicken Popcorn, Chettinadu Chicken Wrap, Icecream with Choco Lava Cake, and choco donut.

Hazelnut Cold Coffee : Price (150rs)

Flavour of Hazelnut was so mild and was not that good. Quantity is great, quality is great but flavour is not there.

Fried Chicken Popcorn : (120rs)

Small chicken popcorns with a side of mayonnaise. It was so juicy. I think it's frozen food but didn't feel bad. Tasted amazing. A masala was sprinkled on top of the popcorn which enhanced the flavour.

Chettinadu Chicken Wrap : (170rs)

Simple ah sollanumna a chappathi with chicken chettinadu stuffing. The flavour could've been better. The size is too small for the price. It was okayish.

Icecream with Choco Lava cake : (170rs)

A scoop of vanilla icecream with Oreo chunks and choco chips and Hot Choco Lava cake (without Lava). The taste was so great. First time when they served the cake wasn't hot, on the second serve cake was hot and but it was normal chocolate cup cake, I didn't wanna ask once more. So had this. It would've been amazing if it was served with Lava cake.

It's not that great. A soft bun with chocolate sauce on the top is what we can call it.

I had an abysmal experience at Gourmet Bakery on January 15, 2024, at 4:15 p.m. and felt compelled to share my frustration.

I visited to buy pastries and decided to order coffee. Shockingly, no one took my order for a whopping 15 minutes, despite numerous waiters aimlessly wandering around. It's baffling how basic customer service seems to be nonexistent.

After finally placing my coffee order, I endured another 15-minute wait with no one bothering to serve the coffee. Deciding to cut my losses, I purchased pastries and headed to the billing counter. What awaited me was a complete lack of proper response. A stone-faced cashier and no acknowledgment of the 30-minute wait for a simple coffee.

As a regular customer since 2021, the treatment I received was unacceptable. No apologies were offered, and I felt like a third-rate customer. This experience has left me thoroughly disappointed, and I have decided to never visit this outlet again.

The first time we came across Gourmet, Pudukkottai, it was to get some blueberry cake, but we ended up with an introduction to dumrut and some amazing people.

We are from bangalore and everytime we come to Pudukkottai, a visit to Gourmet has become our routine. Today, Gourmet has become a place that provides a wide variety of cuisines and dishes that taste amazing!

Loved the pizza and garlic bread, the bread was soft, yet crispy and the cheese deserves a special mention of it's own. The penne arrabiata pasta was amazing and the DBC was nice!
